SCAR didn't even have Fireworks for the last 3 TDs!

Looked like a return of the 3rd down woes from last year. 3rd/4th down conversions Tennessee 7 of 15; SCAR 10 of 13!

We only gave up 606 yards, it sure felt like 800.

Defense needs to come out pissed next week and avenge this awful embarrassment.

And can we get someone else to do kickoffs! SCAR 6 Touchbacks, 64 yard average; Tennessee 0 Touchbacks, 50 yard average, Punt average 35.7 for TN and 55 for SCAR.

I don’t see how you can retain anyone on the defensive staff other than Garner.

Yeah ... just browsing the stats, and realizing how poor South Carolina's offense has been, until tonight ... I feel nauseated.

I was more disappointed after the Georgia State loss a few years back.

This team has exceeded every expectation I had this year so the loss sucks and all, but I'd have been more disappointed if they got blown out in the first round of the playoffs.

At this rate we are in line for a big bowl game that I may actually be able to afford the tickets to.

H*ll, if they had gotten into the liquor stash they would have at least shown a little fire in their bellies to start the game. It looks like to me they got hold of some d*mn good weed before the game. Defense played like they were lost from the opening snap.

I think this game or a game like it was in the cards, maybe we were a little optimistic when we thought we buckled down against Georgia on defense, maybe it was truly the weather and they just went to the run to eat the clock and end the game, perhaps if Kirby had he mentality of Beamer they would have beat us senseless because in hindsight im pretty sure they could have, we just have no pass defense. period. We were destined to run into a game like this, SC was determined to pass on us and keep passing, they were determined to run up the score if they could and Beamer stood over there and basically gave us the bird for every team we ran the score up on this year. I guess in a way we deserved it, idk what else to think.

I may be wrong, but in 50+ years of being a Vol fan, I can't recall any team, even one of the great ones, having a first half where they took the ball at their own twenty-five and went the distance. every time they received. The only time they failed to do that was when they got it with 12 seconds on the clock. Losing is bad, but to be treated like Furman or Tennessee Tech?

I think the Vandy game will be the tell all. If we struggle to beat Vandy then there’s no doubt that something is going on in the locker room.

The defense was flat out soft. And why is it that we play so soft against the most unathletic short qbs? Yes, our defense is inconsistent and can be flat out bad like last night, but they have been pretty good at times as well. At our best we should be able to slow down Rattler and Bennett. Unfortunately, we won't get a chance to rock Bennett's world again this year because of that inexcusable performance last night and that's what sucks the most about this situation. It will be really interesting to see how the coaches and players rebound from this. I'd argue that if we lose again next week we'll lose every bit of momentum we've gained as a program this year. The narrative won't be that we are greatly improved. It will be that we were overrated all along and are still one of the cellar dwellers in the SEC.

It felt like South Carolina was playing dirty and trying to hurt our guys and we weren't playing with any fire whatsoever. It was rage inducing. It made me toxic bud. Lol. I thought I was past screaming at the TV over a football game. Guess not. Lmao

In truth, I'm not all torn up by the loss. Unhappy about it yes, but seeing as we had a season of unexpected level of success, I refuse to let my joy be dampened. However, for the sad sacks, I offer the following. We met this enticing NCS gal. She jiggled and wiggled around, brazenly flirted in her suggestive opaque come hither skirt. Said we were number one in her date book, only to flirt with others at first opportunity. Before resting in the arms of some young rooster that winked at her sideways. That threw me in a funk, an angry funk. A seriously bad mood, and so:

I’m not. I knew they would lose to either Mizzou or Carolina. This is a puny football team that punched way above its weight class.

There’s a rumor that there was an altercation at practice with him, Milton, and banks. The defense had Banks back and it’s seems to cause a rift in the locker room. I saw zero effort from that side of the ball tonight.

Yep , it’s hard to fathom. This SC team scored at will on this team. Something UGA, BAMA,LSU, PITT, KY, Florida couldn’t do or they would. Something went terribly wrong somewhere it’s got to be deeper than this SC O is just better than all these teams they outperformed on this given nite . I’m wondering if there is “the rest of the story” out there. It looked like a Top 5 team playing a low level FCS team.
