Is it true that Dane Bradshaw is working for Thunder Thornton in Chattanooga? I really miss Dane's basketball IQ and heart in TN basketball.

I've heard Dane say many times how much he loves and respects Bruce Pearl. If he hasn't already, Dane needs to nonshalantly mention how much he loved playing for Bruce when he comes into contact with Boss Thunder.

Bruce screwed up, but it will be really hard to watch him dominating at Alabama or Boston College next year.

Cuonzo is a great man, but he's an average coach. Bruce is a great coach, but he's an average man. I'll take the great coach any day!

Sorry in advance! I just want to be relevant again!!!!

I agree with your points but you might want to look at the fairly substantial thread from yesterday.

If the S.E.C. commissioner is against Bruce, then he won't be coaching at U.T. or at "O Bama" It will either be Clemson or B.C., my guess....

If I were an SEC school interested in Pearl, I'd love to hear the SEC commissioner defend Haith while trying to block Bruce from re-entering the league.

As much as I would hate to face him every year, Bruce would be good for the SEC IMO.

This x100. I just went back and refreshed my memory on what Haith was "convicted" of by the NCAA. Bruce Pearl made a couple of very stupid decisions, but he was a choir boy in comparison. Pearl gets a three year show cause and Haith gets a 5 game suspension... :banghead2:

Why haven't Bruce cried foul if his violations were just stupid decisions? It has to be more than that.

I was reading that thread last night and had to help put the kids to bed. When I came back to it, the thread was gone. Do you know if it got merged? I have been looking for it but can't seem to find it.

Because stupid decisions have consequences. He did get caught and admitted it. My point lies with the disparity in punishment for, in my opinion, a lesser infraction versus the punishment for what Haith received for his complicity and active participation in payments to a player and his mother and subsequent coverup while at Miami.

I wonder if all fan bases have as much trouble letting go of things as the Tennessee fan base does. I am beginning to think that everyone on here will be talking about hiring Pearl back and how much Kiffin screwed us 30 years from now. In addition, I am willing to bet that the Fulmer debate thread still gets bumped in 2050. Sometimes being on here just exhausts me.

He's gonna end up at Bama and pummel us on a yearly basis for the next 15 years.

Do you believe that is the only thing Bruce did?

If you have evidence of anything further not detailed in the official NCAA report that brought the punishment, I would love to see it. Hell, you may convince me he kicked my dog and slapped my mother.

As soon as it becomes official that we are not making the NCAA tournament, fire martin, hire an interim and make plans to bring Pearl on in August! It's not complicated Hart! Either you pull the trigger or someone else will and that someone will be Alabama. If you think that commish will say anything to Alabama for anyone they hire, just remember they just hired Lane Kiffin and the commish is well aware of what he did to Tennessee! Just saying!

He cheated (which I'm fine with...cheating happens).
He lied about cheating (not good...this all ends with a slap on the wrist if that didn't happen).
He was then under investigation.
He then lied about Brian Williams failing another drug test by saying he was out with "a bad back."
He also gave extra tickets to a family (pretty sure this was also Williams).

I can't argue with the Lane Kiffin reasoning.

I think he's in trouble for shooting a young giraffe in the head and feeding the carcass to other zoo animals
