150k seats would be cool šŸ˜Ž would offset all the old geysers who don't make a sound on 3rd down defense

Iā€™m not sure how they could expand capacity without going back to bleachers everywhere. It is already treacherous navigating the upper deck, so wouldnā€™t be able to go up. Concourses are already small, so canā€™t add more there.

They should fix parking, and the roads b4 getting ahead of themselves. Expanding the seats sounds cool, but honestly they havenā€™t finished the last round of renovations yet. Iā€™m just saying b4 adding more problems, fix the ones you have before adding another layer.

I will give props to Oklahoma as I was surprised. At least where I walked, the concourses wee much wider. Their concessions were better with more selections.

My two complaints though minor:

We had to walk up 10 plus sets of ā€œrampsā€ which was exhausting and steep as we sat four rows away from the very top of stadium on visitorsā€™ side.

It was so dam$ hot so I asked for Powerade or Gatorade. They donā€™t sell any type of sports drink so I bought another warm water.

Their stadium hold about 85k but it looked more updated than Neyland. But Iā€™ll take Neyland any day! Our game day experience is much more electric and louder!

I believe OU was in the middle of a major stadium renovation when I watched the Vols play there in 14.

Iā€™m with the consensus, the stadium has enough seats. It would be better to upgrade the existing stadiumā€¦and therefore the fan experienceā€¦in my opinion.

Shouldnā€™t have shrunk it as much as they have over the last 20 years.
Iā€™d be all for shrinkage if all seats have chair backs with fold up bottoms so people can walk by and cup holders. 18ā€ wide bleacher seats for our obese population does not work anymore.

They are not expanding the stadium capacity to any significant degree. They aren't doing it. There's no argument for it. It's hideously expensive, impractical from a construction perspective, and most stadiums don't worry or care about having 100,000 fans anymore. Getting to 100k was a pissing contest and Tennessee wanted to be involved. Same as when they built Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center Preserved By Pilot and Supported by Fanduel.

Anyone with any degree of connection to the AD has always suggested that the math just doesn't add up to make the change, not from an expense perspective, nor from the perspective of need. Every time they do discuss changing the seating capacity, it's to look at what would happen if they removed or replaced the bleacher seating with modern stadium seating -- and trust me, you do not want to know how many fewer seats Neyland would have if they made that change. I don't recall the number off the top of my head but I think it was suggested to be under 90,000. Now that, no one will abide by, so ... we'll just have to continue to sit on our one cheek and like it.

Danny White is just playing the game. You don't tell people no, especially when it comes from a place of excitement and engagement. "We're looking into it." The PR equivalent of don't call us, we'll call you.
If UT want to all chair backs it would seat around 78-80K.

le'me guess, you either already have season tickets or never go to a game, as a longtime season ticket holder of 4, with an expanding (adult) family, I'd like for them to at least add 5K seats.
Unfortunately, I've lived this "expansion" thing before. Only thing to do is narrow the seats like in the 90's. It's uncomfortable as hell, especially if your 6'2 240. It's just not worth it. I'll stay home at enjoy in my recliner, if that's the case.
