Da'rick Rogers didn't start great but is now starting in the playoffs!

I thought he was already cut from Buffalo. Maybe he will be on someone's practice squad, grow up and also learn to play as a professional.

For some team, he could be a big time diamond in the rough and pay big dividends. (See Arian Foster)

He better grow up quickly though.

You quoted a post from June 1.

My understanding is that if nobody claims him off of waivers the Bills can then put him on the practice squad. I may be wrong but that is the way I read it.

All the talent in the world. But just can't get it together what ashame he could be a very good player and he's throwing it all away

I currently work in the Calhoun/Dalton area, some of the people I work with frequent the same spots as David Ricky. RUMOR is he was home "smokin' with the Boyz" yesterday evening. Again Rumor.

They could but they usually sign people to the practice squad from those that didn't make the final cut. It would be highly unlikely they sign someone to the practice squad who didn't even make the first cut, and especially someone who had issues with the coaches.

He may get another opportunity, but I don't see a quality organization taking a chance on him. It's obvious that he has attitude problems. You can usually get by with an excuse for immaturity, but eventually people begin to recognize differences between childish errors and being a moron.

Colts signed WR Da'Rick Rogers to their practice squad.
Rogers went undrafted in April and then went unclaimed off waivers after the Bills cut him last Monday. But he continues to make headlines because of his 6'3/206 frame, 4.5 wheels and 67/1040/6 line he posted at Tennessee in 2011. If Rogers can get his head on straight in Indy, he's a candidate to make an impact down the line. Darrius Heyward-Bey is working on a one-year deal, Reggie Wayne is 34 years old and LaVon Brazill is on a zero-tolerance policy after his suspension.

Good luck to him in Indy. I hope he works his ass off, keeps his mouth shut, and quits the drugs. This might be his last shot in the NFL.

Good luck to him on making it to the actual roster from the practice squad; that can really be a difficult feat.

Say what?

Still, Arian Foster's kinda the exception, not the norm (and even then, he still needed some help to get his shot).

He also didn't start off with the issues/marks against him that Rogers has. I'm not saying he can't do it...but there's a good chance it could be an uphill battle

True. But at least on the PS, he will have structure, coaching, and a small salary. I think he needs that at this point. Hope he makes the most of it.

Love the colts picked him up, maybe ole Reggie Wayne can take him under his wing. DR has all the ability, I was hoping he would put it together for the bills, but even more so now!! Go Vols! Go Colts!

That's one of the biggest exceptions in history. It doesn't make what TO posted any less accurate. He didn't say it wasn't possible, he said it was difficult; which it is.

I know, I was just kidding guys. I remember when Arian got called up from practice squad and he was asking the coaching staff if that's even possible to be on the practice squad one week and starting RB the next. He was stunned.

Happy to have him, he could have a chance to make it here if he gets his act together. Wayne is getting old and heyward bey has hand questionable hands. So with qb like Luck and the current wr situation this could be his chance and possibly last chance.

Here's his chance

A Monday MRI confirmed that Reggie Wayne sustained a torn right ACL and meniscus during Sunday night's win over the Broncos.
It's a crippling injury for the 5-2 Colts. Wayne, one of the most productive and durable receivers in NFL history, led them in catches (38), yards (503) and targets (58) through seven weeks. Barring a trade, they'll move forward with T.Y. Hilton and Darrius Heyward-Bey in two-wide sets and ask for bigger contributions out of talented second-year WR LaVon Brazill and TE Coby Fleener. Wayne will turn 35 next month and his $4 million base salary in 2014 is non-guaranteed. It's conceivable that the leader of the Colts has played his last NFL snap after 13 seasons.
