Da'Rick Rogers had 18 cathces for 303 yards and 2 TDs in a losing effort against SEMO. Rogers should be fun to watch for the OVC fans out there

I'm not petty and immature enough to say I don't wish he had his head on straight and stayed here. He's still an NFL player regardless of what any childish fan thinks.

The guy is a primadonna and doesn't think the rules apply to him. He's selfish and only looks out for himself.

God forbid an athlete smokes some weed. The NCAA should focus on testing for substances that provide a competitive advantage. If Da'Rick was passing his courses and was not juicing, then what is the problem? Does the NCAA monitor to make sure that players are not having pre-marital, unprotected sex? Seems to me that would possess more potential harm to both the player and society than smoking some dope.

Da'Rick should be on the team; Dooley should have given him the minimum penalty required under NCAA rules.

No dude. Smoking weed kills kittens and rapes dolphins.

dope is heroin.

1. Not necessarily; and, the definitions do not rule out weed (in fact, MW even says "esp. marijuana").

2. Even if you want to narrowly define "dope" as heroin, I still stand by the point made. Heroin is not a performance enhancing drug; heroin use is no more necessarily detrimental to society than pre-marital, unprotected sex.

Agreed 100%. However I think it ran deeper than just weed, in all likelihood that was just the stated excuse. Rumors of bad attitudes, cheating, insubordination, etc were rampant. I don't know if any or all of it was true, but if a player is good enough the weed use can be overlooked or dealt with internally if really needed.

I'm pretty sure it is a UT rule. 4 strikes and you're out policy on drugs. That is why Coker was let go. I don't have a problem with it at all. But being military that has a zero tolerance policy, I find it rather generous considering the benefits they receive.
