Hes got good hands, good leaping ability and hes hard to bring down...definately not a speedster but i like his size

I'm the same size as this guy and I run a 4.5. I've got good hands. I've got good leaping ability. Why doesn't Tennessee sign me? My God, we shouldn't be handing out scholarships to non-blocking 4.7 running receivers. How bout we bring in the Deion Walkers and the Julio Jones' of the world. Otherwise you might as well give me a scholarship.

You know, if we're really recruiting this guy, I don't believe he runs a 4.7. You can't always go by what the recruiting sites say or by one poor 40 time somewhere. I don't know if you remember, but Rivals had Graig Cooper down for a 4.65 for a long time. In fact, it probably still says that on Rivals. Nobody in his right mind believes Coop runs a 4.65. That's laughable.

Refresh my memory. Who is Graig Cooper?

He's actually closer to 6-5 and ran a 4.60 at a Jacksonville combine back in the spring. Very strong hands and a good leaper. Once he improves his strength and route running, he could be a serious player at the collegiate level.

Did you play football? Cause if you actually run a 4.5 and are that big, which i doubt, you probably would have been recruited by somebody...

Or at least participated in a combine... Coaches will always reach out to kids with extraordinary talent to give them the chance of attention from colleges.

That is true.

I was 5'10", ran a 4.68 and weighed 175 and got calls and letters from little schools my senior year of high school.

no I was a baseball player. I'm 6'4 but I'm only about 160...used to be 190 before I dropped a bunch of weight. Never played football bc my parents thought I would get killed when I was smaller. I didn't really mean to get into a conversation about all this though, I was really just trying to prove a point. But for what it's worth, I played football a lot with players from the local high school team and they thought I would of been a good player. I haven't really timed a 40 in forever either. I'm positive I would be in 4.5 or 4.6 range though.

If I get into UT this next year, I thought about trying to walk on to at least the scout team. But I really don't know much about like routes and coverages and all that jazz...plus I'm sure I'd just get my ass kicked and quit pretty quickly

If I had another year left, I'd try out for the scout team. I'm 6'4" 285..big enough to sorta kinda hold my own, but not strong enough to actually play. Now, if I'd done like Karl and worked out all 4 years of hs and then 4 more of college, who knows. :)
