I love the black uniforms. But, someone talk me down about not seeing receivers/players as easy as with orange/white uniforms.

I think we outta play The Man in Black … by the man in black. We are from Tennessee after all…..

and every team that has ever done a black uni- (the gamecocks first did it in the 1980s against Clemson - they came out in regular red unis and helmets for warmups and then changed to full black everything to run out for their 2001 entrance - I was actually there)- have worn out Back in Black….

And maybe play a little Paint it Black a time or two as well…..

There have been studies that show a correlation between players playing more aggressively when wearing black uniforms instead of white. It is their defense mechanism. They all know orange is one of the most beautiful colors in the universe and they can't stand it. Everyone loves orange. Orange Lilies. Orange Camaros. Orange Sunsets. No one looks at a gorgeous orange sunset and says 'Wow, that sunset is ugly'. Everyone loves orange, and they hate us for it.

With that being said, even though I am a traditionalist I like this. I was not crazy about the black uniforms with the white helmets, but this looks awesome.

Beautiful.

They are hitting on all cylinders over there. What a fun ride this season is stacking up to be.

The all black unis look amazing.

Another uni combo I would like to see is an alternate away uni. Bring back the helmets we wore with the black unis last year (white helmets, orange power T with black outline). Then, bring back the away jerseys we wore in mid 90s through 00s, (orange numerals with black outlines). Possibly white pants with orange stripe that is outlined in black.

I think that would look pretty awesome. Classic look with a throwback feel. Nothing crazy.

Although we all know what the unis will look like, I’d like to see the Vols not change into them until they run out on the field through the “T”. I think that would really rev-up the volume of the fans even more not actually seeing them until then - sort of like 2009. I’m one of those old traditionalists but really excited about seeing the Vols wear the black unis and helmets. GBO!! Bury the kitties!
