Darren Myles

Hunter projects as a Corner.

Both Vereen and Anderson are starting their 2nd year on the Hill and Prentiss is already 2nd team. Also if Morely has a really good year this year he's gone.

As for DT's unless Chavis gets an AA handed to him UT will not sign any H.S. DT's. Look for 2 to 3 JUCO DT's at most.

so your giving up on bonds?

the bammers think he is a lean to them now...don't know if they are basing it off of that one single quote or not.

i still think we get this kid, although the inclusion of LSU is a bit scary.

He looks like he could play safety to me.
ESPN ranked Hunter as a safety...probably because he is a big physical DB (6' 200)

he would be a big CB, but as big as receivers are now, it's nice to have a CB with that kind of size and speed.

it's anyone's guess where he lines up for us at this point.

volball, how do you feel about Bonds?

I have read that we are actually not even in his top three after hearing that we somewhat had the inside track. Some people claim he was misquoted. Who knows? I know that it was ludicrous to get my hopes up about him just because his mom sold hotdogs in Neyland. People made that into a bigger deal than I think it really was.

Maybe you saw a lot of talk about that on another board, but I seem to only remember one person mentioning that on here.

Also remember his sister LOVES the Lady Vol Softball program and wants to play for the Weeks. She is a very, very good softball player.

I hope VB is wrong, but there's a good chance he's not. Chris Bonds would be big for this class.

Darren Myles would be nice too :)

I don't think that really means much. Of course it's good to have someone in our corner, but I don't think she has much bearing on the situation.

Darren Myles has decommited from UGA, and it seems like he really doesn't have a favorite. He lists Purdue (father's alma mater), Bama, LSU, UF, among a couple of others. He said that Richt stopped recruiting him after he committed and Darren seemed to be really bitter about it. Wonder if CLK can poke his nose in there and get Myles's attention.

aren't we on his list already? sound's like a primadonna.

We were on his list before he committed. He had a connection with UT. Something like his dad coached Inky Johnson and Jamal Lewis in HS.

I'm sorry, I misunderstood the article, UGA was on the top of his list for a while. He never committed. Sorry for the confusion.

I could see Myles turning his attention back this way. Hope he gives Kiffin a chance. Helluva player.

While Tennessee was not mentioned among his top five, Myles said that the Volunteers have shown him a good deal of interest recently.

"I actually talked to (Monte) Kiffin," Myles said. "He told me I was the first recruit he has called. That meant a whole lot. He told me he had been looking over film and was impressed."

With seven schools still receiving consideration from Myles, he has a lot of thinking to do over the next month.
