How did we not get this kid at UT? I understand he is a QB at MTSU. And would have probably not been a QB here but that kid is blistering fast with rediculous cuts in the open field.

He can do both, BY FAR the most impressive QB play I have seen at any level all year. He couldn't even walk after his 3rd injury and after taking one series off, he came back out and played to perfection, dude is a stud!!!!! Very McNairish

1.---UT told him he would play WR
2.---UT told him he would play DB
3.---UT told him he wasn't good enough
4.---He wasn't from California or Florida or Texas
5.---UT didn't bother recruiting him
6.---Dasher wanted to play QB or nothing
7.---Just another CPF miss.
Take your pick.

He was a 2 star athlete coming out of HS. The recruiting junkies would throw a fit because he was not 3 stars or more. But we can't expect to get every great athlete out there. It's just not possible.

well it seems like quite a few teams "missed" on him. As for UT, it's not like he was playing in Knoxville. Did he even have the grades?

sometimes players look better against weaker competition.

No doubt Dasher is an unbelievable talent but we all know he wouldn't have played QB at TN.

Great athlete, huge heart, great kid. I don't know why your saying he's can't throw. You'd be surprised.

Dasher is a very well spoken and smart young man.. I worked with him while I was going to school at MTSU for athletic training.. He was always one of the more pleasent to work with..

I live in Nashville and have been to multiple games this season for both teams....Dasher throws MUCH better than most of you give him credit for. As for weaker competition, he beat a team that is much better than UCLA, away from home.

A Bowl showing alot like Vince Young!

Don't yell about the talent level of USC/So. Miss......
In a huge game, the guy was awesome. Great job by him and the MTSU family.

Just like Cobb.......UT not only missed one, but so did alot of schools.

This. Southern Miss was the only team MTSU beat that had a winning season, and USM went 7-6.

They got killed by Troy and lost by 3 touchdowns to Mississippi State at home (that should give you an idea how Dasher would play in the SEC).

UT didn't miss anything here.

I don't know anything about this kid but that is not a fair comparison. You cannot judge the talent of one person on an entire teams performance. With that kind of logic you could also say that Miss State beat the team that beat us by 3 touchdowns.

It's a toss-up really, but to knock Dasher isn't fair, he's much better than people give him credit for.

I never knocked Dasher, just pointing out how absurd it is to believe that Southern Miss is better than UCLA.

Below 50% completion against Clemson.1 TD and 3 INTs
50% completion against MSU. 3 INTs
61% against Maryland. 2 TDs and 2 INTs

In his few games against legit competition, he hasn't done that well. At all. Especially in his running when he averaged something like 3 YPC, 1 YPC, and 3.5 YPC against those teams.
