Dasher from MTSU

The Maryland win is nowhere near as impressive as it seemed early in the season when it happened.

No one said Dasher SHOULD be the QB at UT. What they are saying is that the guy had a HUGE game at the most important time. 10 wins at MTSU in D1 is big. Great job by Coach Stock. He is a great coach and will be at a big school soon. He played up to the competition last night. he and the team has improved since those early season losses.

As an APSU grad...giving props to an MTSU person is like a Vol grad doing the same to a Bama player....hardley ever happens.

My sons best friend plays for MTSU...and to hear how Dasher has "grown-up" during the year is nice to see. He turned into a leader...something he has NEVER been.

lets not go overboard Dasher is a good sun belt QB, I watched him play against Troy and MSU and he looked very avg if not bad.
the better question is how Dandre Brown got away

Below 50% completion against Clemson.1 TD and 3 INTs
50% completion against MSU. 3 INTs
61% against Maryland. 2 TDs and 2 INTs

In his few games against legit competition, he hasn't done that well. At all. Especially in his running when he averaged something like 3 YPC, 1 YPC, and 3.5 YPC against those teams.

And if you watched any of those games you would have seen a few of those int's were not his fault. The MSU game he had two touchdowns called back on crap calls. He had 88 rushing yards at Clemson, 73 and a touchdown at Maryland, and 50 against MSU. You have to remember they take sack yardage off his rushing yards. Those rushing yards I listed were before sack yards were taken away. And those first games he was still learning the playbook of the new offensive coordinator. I'm not saying he would be all world against tougher competition, but to just throw out his stats from those games is wrong.

From someone who has seen him play in person a bunch when he was a freshman, there was no way he should have been on this team at all. He's developed as an athlete and a QB by miles since the last time I saw. Even this staff wouldn't have seen any value from him.

You are not considering his Oline, his recievers, his running back. You have to consider the talent around someone before you make a judgment about how good they are. This guy may stink (I have not seen him play) but that argument doesn't hold water. Remember how bad Crompton looked before he had Gerald Jones to throw to?

Now that's a legitimate question. I'm pretty sure Brown had several SEC offers including UT. For him to choose USM tells me either he insisted on playing as a freshman, or there were factors unrelated to football in his decision.

Sometimes you have late development. Nobody's fault for not grabbing him just not that outstanding coming out of high school. Where is this kid from?

Its hard to get all of em. Recruits choose schools for different reasons. I don't think many will get away from this new coaching staff though.

Don't look at me...you're the one who said UT and several other schools missed one by not offering him. How was I supposed to interpret that?

As a football player...not an SEC QB.

Did UT miss out on Cobb? Not as a QB, but a PLAYER?

Don't jump too quick...ya might miss.

OK...but a GOOD coach should see the potential in a player. Correct.

THAT is why ****'s mean NOTHING!

If Tony Franklin would of had Dasher at Auburn I think Tommy Tubbs would still be there

he didn't play the first half against Miss. State either.

So what other position do you think he could have played at UT? Cobb only looks impressive because UK has no one else worth crap on their offense, except possibly Locke.
