Hey O-Line! As a group you lost 119.7 pounds of fat and gained 25.9 pounds of muscle this off season! #letsGetPaid #RiseToTheTop

Allison Maurer ‏@BigOrangeFuel
S/O to the D-Line...90.9 lbs of fat lost and 49.2 pounds of muscle gained. Ouch! #ThatMightHurt

Where you at @bmoore3vfl? DB's at -21.3 pounds of fat and +45 pounds of muscle this off season. #speedAndPower

That comes out to an average loss per player of 5 pounds of fat and a gain of 3 pounds of muscle.

Did you know that the Knoxville zoo goes thru 120 pounds of bananas each week. UT athletes go thru 200 pounds of bananas. #fuelingMachines

That is incredible from a health standpoint! Wow. To lose that much fat, and still add muscle is amazing!!

We are going to be a well conditioned team this Fall! Recruits should get in on this as soon as possible!

and thats just in the offseason...

It's really incredible. I mean, to be able to play at the speed we want to play, this has to happen. Butch wants lean players that can move. Not just big guys to take up space. What's really incredible is the DB's. To lose 21 pounds and fat and add 45 pounds of muscle is an awesome awesome feat.

Definitely a good thing we've got going here.

Yes but God bless, unless I'm a pro athlete and my profession dictated that I monitor my diet that way, there is no way in hell I could live my daily life devoting that much time and effort to monitoring what I put into my body. Not to that degree.

It's extremely time consuming but the dieting part is really the least time consuming. The way to do it is cook in quantity on Sunday for the week and eat roughly the same stuff everyday, switching it up weekly or biweekly while maintaining the same %carbs, fats, proteins and total cal. The time consuming part is hitting the gym for an hour and half 5 days a week. It helps being single and 26 :)

Is this guy really that good? Or is this just the same ole same story? From Ausmus to Wylie, to McKeefrey, and now Lawson - every time, all I hear is how they are better than the last guy.

I don't think it can be said enough how Dooley didn't take advantage of social media, in fact he actually stopped it's use almost completely. Kids these days live by it, and Butch is allowing everyone players, coaches, support staff get in the mix. The added hype and publicity is pretty amazing when you have a good social media strategy. Recruits will eat this stuff up.

With CDD, we had too many players doing and saying stupid things. He tried to curb it, not that Da'Rick listened. CBJ has pretty much said your off field conduct has impact on not just your on field conduct and opportunity but whether you will be part of the UT program at all. So he has given the players the responsibility to either earn the right to play and even be at the UT or lose it. The difference with CDD is that Jones has effectively communicated his expectations and he and his staff have led by example. One of the things that got my attention was when one of the coaches went pale when a practice song uttered the "F" word and he ran over to switch songs. This told me that MAYBE we won't have players getting cussed out all the time. That CBJ and co. want a truly family and clean atmosphere. I'm glad because I find it depressing when even prepubescenthttp://www.thefreedictionary.com/prepubescent kids on the street and in movies cuss like 1840's clipper ship captain or common street thug. Following the example of so-called adults. So maybe our players will become real role models now and in the future.

Samuel Jackson's character in Snakes on the Plane vs. the one who learned to not cuss in The Man.

I can't find the thread where someone posted a pic of AJ & captioned it "this is what a year in McKeefrey's training program will get you". Seems like we have heard this before.

There is no reason to be spending 90 minutes in a gym. Not sure what your routine is though.
