if you are wishing for Bruce Pearl then wish elsewhere. However he has jumped totally off the Martin bandwagon...as of this morning at least.

WHAT?!?!?!? Are you serious? You mean to tell me Pearl isn't charging triumphantly on his flame-breathing black stallion back into Knoxville and reclaiming Thompson-Boling in the name of the University of Bruce??? So many will be disappointed.

Personally, I don't believe a word of it. Soon.

Smoke screen .IMO Everybody in the BB forum knows that there is only one coach that could ever be successful at UT.

Serious question...if Hart made the admittedly unorthodox/risky move and did bring Bruce back...would you clean your hands of the program?...or do the cautious wait and see approach?...no wrong answer on this

That's a great question. I could never wash my hands of the program.Its in my blood. I would hope he succeeds just like I would hope that any coach they hire would succeed. If he comes back that will pretty much guarantee that Steven would still be on the radio, so that part would suck.

Which is pretty much what every "journalist" I've seen say. Clay Travis is pretty much the only one I've seen that is pushing for it, though he hasn't commented much on how believable he thinks it is.

Travis is pretty much about to treat the basketball program like he does the football program (if he doesn't already). He already rubs James Franklin in UT's face, and now he's already rubbing Pearl in UT's face assuming some other program gets him.

I still have serious doubts about how much in demand Pearl will be when his show cause is up.

Cheer for his team just like I did three years ago. It's the University of Tennessee, not the University of (insert coach's name). If they hired Dooley to coach the basketball team, I'd cheer for the team, though anticipate total failure.

Mediocrity for the BB program is what I predicted when Pearl was fired and CCM was hired. Since Cheek and Hamilton were behind these transactions, it was inevitable. Mediocrity is where we are now.

The chance to get in the NCAA is so slim at this point, I will no longer get dirty looks from my wife for screaming at the umpteenth layup that Stokes misses or when foul shots clunk off the rim. For the rest of the season, I will just sit calmly, try to enjoy the game for entertainment purposes and not get angry as the Vols lose. If we happen to win, I will just smile and whisper "way to go guys". I will just sit back and hope the Cuonzo offense will give me 50 points to cheer for.

Climer stated there are money people who don't want Bruce back...and it would be a public relations nightmare for the school. He also stated that Pearl was a genius...
