I love a lot of Aerosmiths later stuff.......Pink is priceless
Maybe cause Im younger
Really? I was into both of them when they first started in late 70's. Then big into both until mid-80's. Got into a funk phase. Tuned out VH during the Sammy days mostly...and didn't follow AS in that era either. Do have both's greatest hits CD's on the ipod.
Summer Jam 77' in KC had VH 3rd on bill of 5 bands opening for Steve Miller Band. Great show.
Seen Aerosmith and VH 3 times. My fave would have to be Aerosmith. DLR was an amazing showman though. I never saw VH with Sammy though. 51 year old here.
I liked Sammy with Montrose. I wore out their debut cassette more than once.
Yeah, was that the 'I can't drive 55' bunch? I remember having some Sammy before he joined VH. Might of been on an 8-tape...lol!
Tyler was definitely a better singer than Diamond Dave. But Eddie was better on lead guitar than Joe Perry. Alex was underated on drums for VH. I probably lean just a hair toward Aerosmith as well but it is very close. They both had some serious drug problems. In particular, I never thought Aerosmith would recover from some bad bad bad drug problems there around 1980.
