David Pollack is a Grade-A tool

Michigan is legit this year. I don’t think Georgia is as good, but just my opinion. Regardless, dude is supposed to be a national analyst that leaves his personal feelings out of it.

Michigan beaten by Notre Dame and the Golden Domers barely escaped at home from Vandy. Michigan and ND both would be in 3rd or 4th place in the SEC East or West this season. Neither have any reason being in the top ten nationally IMO.

Like always, transitive property does not apply. Michigan being third or fourth best in the SEC East is downright laughable. SEC West obviously second behind Bama. Look at it objectively and put down the SEC glasses. Michigan would dominate every team in the East other than Georgia, and even that game might not be close.

I think UGA has more what have you done lately credits than Michigan. When is the last time Michigan won the Big 10, or beat Ohio State? Otherwise I agree though Pollack is a tool and he clearly hates CJP for personal reasons.
And for some reason I had this notion that it's supposed to be about this season, not what they've done in the past

Michigan if game were played now instead of stupid early with Notre Dame would be totally different. Michigan hadnt gotten the flow of offense then. Shea Patterson the Ole Miss transfer has done really well up there. Thats something he hasn't had on his Michigan teams was a qb worth a nickel. And this defense he has is very very good. It wont matter if playoffs started today but Bama would still win convincingly but would draw the much tougher opponent in Michigan than Clemson drawing Notre Dame. And for whoever mentioned Clemson barely over Syracuse and Texas A&M. Look at difference of Clemson and separate the difference of Kelly Bryant at qb and Trevor Lawrence. Totally different.

You're not wrong, I'm just in the believe it when I see it camp as to whether Michigan beats Ohio State, and beating Ohio State is a prerequisite to anything else for Michigan.

Bama yes, maybe Clemson, nope to Georgia. Michigan has the #1 defense in the country and would absolutely shut down Georgia....see Georgia vs LSU if you don’t believe me
1 game sample size doesn't mean much. UGA just boatraced UK which had a better defense statistically than LSU. I can cherry pick multiple games that can be misleading. NC winner Clemson lost to Pitt, NC winner OSU lost to VT, etc etc. UGA won't make the playoff this year, but they are also better than their showing in the LSU game.

Totally agree. That's why I hate these "if the season ended now" arguments concerning the playoff, because it doesn't end now. Lots of football left to be played.

I personally wish the committee wouldn't even release a poll. Let the AP and the coaches do that. If this thing is going to be decided by committee, they should wait until after the conference championship games before they vote, then pick their 4 and be done with it.

I'm a huge Michigan fan and UGA game would make me nervous. UM offense just not that strong. Defense is stout, but an offense can take more risks as you don't have to worry about UM scoring off every turnover.
