Good Grief, a good race with 20 laps to go at Daytona and what does Fox do? They go to commercial. :shakehead:

I wouldn't bet against there being another huge wreck. Green flag with about 5-7 laps to go and people start getting antsy.

I think it be strange that they have so many commercials during a race. The whole race from beginning to end is nothing but a big advertisement.

I do know the lotto numbers . . . but I thought I would follow you around and just wait for you to throw away the winning ticket. :D

I wouldn't have to worry about that since you said that you would give it back. It is people like you that give me hope about society.

Man I can't stand Jeff or Kurt. The only way that ending could have been worse, was if Johnson placed third. It was a good finish though.

well as much I HATE Gordon( :finger: ) congratulations but if that last caution wouldn't have come out that race was Jr.'s......Oh well....We'll get them next weekend at Cali....BTW, wasn't that a hell of a pass by Jr. to get around Stewart?

15 laps to go and NASCAR hands the race to Gordon on a silver platter.....I mean come on 12 outta the 15 laps were under caution.....thats BS......at least NASCAR could make it to where the caution laps don't count as official laps with like 20 laps to go.....its a bunch of BS and NASCAR has fallen in my view....its not a FANS SPORT ANYMORE.....its a bunch of Corporate Geeks and their money putting on a show for their people and it just so happens they sell tickets to the general public.....Fans should help impliment more rules in sports.....I mean aren't we the one's that spend all the money on tickets and memoribilia and BEER for that matter only to see the "White House" NASCAR :furious3: make the race into what they think is good for the fans???....Sports have got to change and become MORE fan friendly.....just my two cents..... :gun: :finger: :gun: :machinegun: :finger: :machinegun: :gun: :gun: :machinegun: :machinegun: :gun: :gun: :machinegun: Jeff Gordon     :gun: :machinegun: :gun: :machinegun: :gun: :machinegun: :gun: :machinegun: :finger: :gun: :machinegun: :finger: Jimmie Johnson.......

I wish the race had stayed green those last 15 laps just to see what would have happened. Jr was coming on strong, but Gordon/Johnson were a lot to overcome.

Oh yeah no doubt.....I honestly believe though, that had that race stayed green after the 2nd to last caution Jr. would have been a repeat winner..... :rocks: Johnson and Jeffy Poo were tough all day but you got to wonder what would have happened if Junior and Mikey had been able to hook up? You know that would have been a lot to contend with.....I believe Jr. was playing possum there during the race....I'll tell ya...I'm a die hard Jr. fan but I about gave up on him LOL

Jr definitely came out of nowhere there at the end. I thought the announcers were going to start foaming at the mouth when he passed Tony Stewart.

LOL......I think he done that purposely though...Laid back to stay out of trouble....Which was smart......I still can't believe ole Poo Boy pulled it off though :finger: LOL....Congrats on your win, but if you're a Jr. or Kurt Busch fan, you gotta wonder what would have happened if that caution hadn't have come out?

With no caution, I would think that Junior would have won it. I am just glad that he got third after spending most of the day in the 20's.

That's the problem with restrictor plate racing - it doesn't matter sometimes who drives the best or has the best car. It's about who guesses right and who gets the most help.

I hate it when the only way to pass is with the help of someone else.

yeah....Me too...I lost total faith in him when there was about 50 to go and he wsa in 25th....I was starting to wonder....I think this is Jr.'s year but he has to be more consistent than he was last year and not miss as many setups.....I agree with you if that caution wouldn't have come out, that was Jr.'s race

Is it just me or does it seem like that every time there is a somewhat controversial finish due to cautions, rules interpretations, and things of that nature, the winner is....Jeff Gordon.

I'll never forget that night in Charlotte when they called the race up in the wee hours of the morning with just a few laps to go and the winner was....Jeff Gordon.

It would not have taken that long to go ahead and finish the race. What a crock.

NASCAR just ain't the same anymore. I hope their new breed of fan will enjoy it once the real racers finish up retiring and the pretty boy, sponsor-choked youngsters have the track to themselves.

As I said before, I will go to our local track and watch some actual racing...man against man instead of team against team and money against money. They can have it. SAD!!!!!!! :bad:
