DC Black Hawk vs Plane crash, Philly Crash. Malicious, or incompotence?

Lol. If someone says in a lawsuit that they weren't hired because they're white, then on this board it's a fact. But if someone says in a lawsuit that they weren't hired because they're black, then they're playing the race card and people are deeply skeptical
Nice deflection. Idc what others on this board say. People shouldn’t be discriminated no matter what race they are and hope anyone who didn’t get hired because they’re black wins their lawsuit

You conveniently leave out the fact that was the exact policy they promoted. There have been unofficial quotas for some time even before all the dei nonsense.

"Someone said so in a lawsuit," where you can say anything you want, is not evidence of anything

The hiring of ATC’s. It’s shocking many people didn’t know this prior to last night

They cited a lot of numbers but didn't reference a source on any of those numbers. It might be true, and that's fine, but it's not helpful to be easily casting, unfounded claims. That is the extreme opposite of a message of unity. Both sides are terrible at it. "Compromise" has become a dirty word at a heavy expense

How on Earth do you justify the conclusion that THE reason for short staffing is because of DEI? Or quotas ?

You are just making that up. Just like Trump. Hoping people overlook the details and lack of evidence to support the theory.
Could be the numbers of that certain tower and the video by Brad Mims. Not sure that’s making it up if it’s already been proven well before this tragic event.

EXCLUSIV: MARK MCEATHRON: I'm A Black Hawk Helicopter Pilot. This video shows all the red flags that led up to the deadly DC plane crash

I'm a former Black Hawk helicopter crew chief and flight instructor.

I know how quickly a routine flight can turn into a terrible tragedy.

I don't claim to know what caused this terrible accident, but in my experience there's always a combination of factors – a 'perfect storm' of mistakes – and human error is almost certainly counted among them. (Pictured: Sikorsky UH-60 'Black Hawk' helicopters).

Good info.

I'm sure there will be an episode of Air Disasters on this collision one day. Mid-air collisions happened a few times in the late 70's to mid-80's (Tenerife, San Diego, Dallas), but are very unusual now.

I'm pretty sure the Tenerife collision is still the deadliest plane crash in history. The one in San Diego was gruesome. There were body parts strewn all over a residential neighborhood.
Tenerife wasn’t midair though, right. Runway with fog I thought

So just to get this straight. If a company states they want to diversify the workforce and prioritize hiring minorities and more people with disabilities, and changes the hiring process to reflect that. Said field has a serious worker shortage problem for years and then goes and rejects 1000 qualified applicants that are all the same race. You don’t think that’s proof? Ok lol

I expect you to hold that same standard and defend when qualified and even over qualified Minorities are rejected and discriminated in the work force over the next 4 years for straight while males

I feel like this is more on the Army than the Airline Industry/Airport.

Probably a bad move to run a training exercise so close to an airport at night over a brightly lit city. Just doesn't seem to be the best strategy.

I’m really not sure how people didn’t know about the stuff long before today. It’s been a serious concern for years now

Because they were concerned about 81000 IRS agents and $15 being a living wage. As stated earlier, operating at 63% we are fortunate to have last this long. Something was bound to happen operating at those numbers.

You're just quoting the lawsuit again. Companies wanting diversity isn't a boogeyman, most companies would say they want that. These are people who failed the test calling themselves qualified, and they are all the same race because they joined a class action based on being that particular race.

By most accounts the shortage is due to bureaucracy, red tape, training time and plenty of other factors rather than having 1,000 jobs sitting open because you rejected 1,000 people for being white or whatever, that's a pretty dumb thing to take at face value which is why saying something in a lawsuit isn't proof because you said so

I’m not quoting the lawsuit. It’s a known fact they changed their hiring process, look it up.

Now you’re making stuff up. They all passed the test (which before the rules changes graduates went on to get hired over 95% of the time) and had 200+ hours of training.

$15 is not a living wage, maybe in a Kentucky holler

Beloved Disney on Ice Little Mermaid actress among latest DC plane crash victims

A beloved Disney on Ice actress and a mother of two young children are among the latest victims identified from the deadly Washington, DC, airplane crash.

Yes and every time you change a testing procedure or hiring process, people who think they are disadvantaged by the change are going to sue you, which is why you don't just take their word for everything via a lawsuit
