DC Jefferson had some interesting things to say about UT in his latest Rivals interview.

The 6-foot-5 240lb. qb had publicly named the Vols his leader a few months ago, but his feelings about the Vols have changed...

Jefferson says the Vols don't talk to him anymore...and he even went on to say that the coaching staff has been "disrespecting" him...he says we're no longer on top and he's now open to everyone.

I wonder what our staff did to make Jefferson feel disrespected.

DC did say, though, that he plans on visiting Tennessee in the summer.

AHH!! i sure hope he's not another Marvin Austin if so then UT should discontinue their recruiting of him

He has grade issues so we aren't pressing as hard as before.

I'll never complain about having too many QBs but really, what's the point of recruiting him? If he has grade issues don't bother with him.

You know, it's not even that. The fact that a 17 year old kid would say a University is disrespecting him is ignorant. The kid should consider himself lucky that a school would be willing to pay for his education.

I don't think it is a bad idea to recruit him. He is a JaMarcus Russell type and we don't really need a QB in this class. If we land him and he doesn't qualify, no big deal.

DC Jefferson can go shove it. Trust me the reason the staff has stopped talking to the kid is because the kid is a Dum@zz, and the kid has an un-accurate arm. Did you see his videos. We need to be looking at the WR's on that team an not D.C.. All DC did was throw the ball downfield and his WR had to go get it, so much that they were making him look good. Im not sold on this cat, and i could care less. We wont even take a QB if he is not a 5-star, and ill bet DC won't be a 5-star. DC doesn't have speed and is not that accurate.

What is his stats? I know Russell threw like more than 10,000 yards in high school, and I heard Jefferson's number is not even closed to that number.

Totally agree, i mean who does he think he is really... i can c now that he is probably full of himself and we dont need players like that around UT... i dont see him qualifying anyway and if he does i hope he does go to one of our rival schools so we can tear him up

First off, easy on DC. You're basing this off, what, 1 article? Sure, I could see how you may think he is full of himself or a bit ignorant, but all you did was name negatives. Maybe I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt you would be saying anything about his accuracy, his speed, or just anything derogatory towards him if he were still favoring the Vols. There's always one of 'em.

Also, how do you know that we won't take a QB if he is not a 5*? Do you have ties to the program? The comment to me just doesn't make sense. What if UT found a 2* sleeper QB recruit who Cutcliffe claims to have Peyton Manning-esque potential? Would we take him? Not by your logic.

Goodness gracious sakes alive. Erik Ainge, Nick Stephens, BJ Coleman, for example, of course.

HV is usually right on point, but I disagree in that I really think we do need a qb in this class. Ainge will be gone, Cromp a Junior, I dont think Nick is a factor and BJ is completely unproven. You can never have enough qb's. Never forget the injury factor as well.

This class doesn't need a QB. We will need one next class, but not this one. D.C. is a great prospect, but we definitely need leaders not primadonas on this team. It don't want more Marvin Austin type recruiting this year. If you want to come and play here at this great school then that's cool, but don't say they are "disrespecting" you because you may have some issues that are keeping them at a distance.

kptvol, show me a quote by me saying the kid was great and that i wanted him in the first place. Cuz i was never sold on this kid, people just like him because he is like a Jamarcus Russell body type. He has a powerful arm but is not accurate. Watch his video's for yourself all his downfield throw aren't close to the WR, hang in the air WAY TOO LONG, and WR did all the work. But, those of you who think he is the next Vince Young are smoking CRACK ROCK, he is no where near the athlete Vince Young is. I don't care if he comes here, with Coleman and Stephens hear the kid wouldn't see PT until his JR year.
