Tennessee is seriously in the mix to flip 5-star wideout Rakim Jarrett. The DC native loves Tee Martin, knows he can see the field on Day 1 here with four seniors graduating and is friends with quarterback commit Harrison Bailey, who texts him daily.
-WiltfongPrior to five-star receiver Rakim Jarrettcommitting to LSU in April, I logged a 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast in favor of Tennessee. A couple months later, I don’t hate my prediction. Not expecting anything imminent, just believe things continue to be positive between the Vols and the blue-chipper out of Washington (DC) St. John’s. The 6-foot, 208-pound Jarrett is one of the top receivers in the country after the catch, a fast, physical runner with the ability to take any reception the distance. He is the No. 3 prospect in the country at his position
Thanks for all the updates @31VFL-Wiltfong
Jarrett wants to be the man at WR wherever he goes. I don’t think he was aware so many highly rated wrs were being brought in by LSU. I think Tennessee probably gives him the best opportunity to be a spotlight WR on the national stage in college. I don’t see that happening at Miss State or Maryland.
Idk at all but my amateur guess:
The new wore off and he was missing the process. And just those second thoughts that come with any life altering decision.
