The worst part about it is he stole directly from a children’s hospital.... that’s a bad look which is why I would think there would be something actually coming of this. (I’m probably wrong) but you have to draw the line when you’re stealing from kids with terminal illness’ that’s about as low as you can get...

Let me explain this to you all. The booster didn't steal anything. The booster runs the hospital and they used the fundraising money to funnel money and give to recruits. It was never the monies raised but extra put in to mk it look as if that's where it came from. A pretty elaborate scheme but nothing unusual but was exposed due to Will Wade's running of his mouth on the phone to the street agent.

You can say that again

Saying "used the fundraising money" is confusing.

Everyone does this in some shape form or fashion. So I'm not sure why ppl on this and every message board act as if this is earth shattering. UT at its peak in the 90s had it flowing in from everywhere. So the masses need to chill and stop making a mountain out of a mole hill. NCAA scares no one anymore, just look at the state of California and their new proposed law to pay athletes for their likeness. Basically told them KOA

That’s the dumbest idea for funneling money.... regardless if it was intended for that purpose putting money in a fundraiser for children is a bad look to say the least. I understand how this works I think almost everyone on this board does but that passing a line when involving children to hide your money traveling... period.

So UT had it flowing into the program in the 90’s? Any proof? Nope. Just another opinion acting like the authority on the subject.

What's the morally correct way to money launder?

Splitting hairs at this point. You put it into a charity fund and then reallocate it, it’s at best tax evasion and money laundering and a strong case could be made for theft as well.
What does tax evasion have to do with any of this? I haven't read the whole story.

Why the hell aren't we doing it ANYMORE?!? We need to start winning again. Our bagman network is failing us.
