Dear Clemson...

I agree...looked ridiculous, but then again they basically just walked into the ACC championship game and playoff appearance with that win. When you play a schedule like Clemson which every week is a cupcake game, when a game that finally matters happen you rush the field..

Yup

I want to laugh but I think we might be in a similar situation when Bama comes to town. If we beat TAMU we should be in the top 5 when we play Bama.

Wut?

Tennessee beating Bama is a bit different than Clemson beating Louisville

I live right near there but I'm a vol through and through. But they put in goal post they can let down, so the rush field just about every home game.

Still don't think we should rush the field for Bama especially if we are ranked in the top 5 with them. I realize it's not on the same level. I was pointing out the ranking similarities.

UL has done nothing to deserve getting the field rush by a program that has accomplished more like Clemson.

Which is why I said...

I don't think you rush the field

That said, this was a huge moment for Clemson. Who cares if UL isn't a football school. They are one of the best teams in 2016 and probably have the best player in CFB right now.

Give this stuff a break. The goal posts came down in Neyland after beating Vandy in 1985.

Clemson allows any lower bowl ticket holders onto the field after every game. It's a school tradition. The players stay and party with the fans. I actually think it's a cool tradition but I'm surprised no players have been hurt.

It was a big win, but again, they've beaten Louisville 3 years in a row and played in the NC game last year. You can acknowledge it's a big win and still act like you've been there, which they have.

I thought there was a fine by the NCAA for storming the field? Wouldn't that techincally mean they allow it to happen every game?

Or is the fine a conference thing?

Two weeks ago in the SC State game, Clemson fans just leisurely walked on after the game with stuff for the players to sign. If there is a rule, it must be an SEC one.

They ran on with a lot more enthusiasm tonight, but it wasn't like security tries to keep fans off the field. They guard the goalposts and that's it.

It'd be very Clemson like to lose to NC State or something lmao
