Decent chance we're Top 10 tomorrow

When the AP releases.

Depends on if LSU falls that far (surely) and Notre Dame doesn't jump us. But you know they're dying to put Notre Dame in the Top 10.
Should have been from the get! No way should Clemson and LSU being ranked ahead of us. All of our question marks should have been answered in the Orange Bowl. Yes we breaking in a new QB, so is Bama, and UGA, but they still got a high ranking. We should have been at least ranked where we finished last year. Just like someone posted earlier….Rodney Dangerfield NO RESPECT

You've just figured that out? (Maybe) By your self?

I can maybe see why they rank the teams you mentioned so high in preseason polls because they’ve won recent national championships. I don’t agree with Clemson being ahead of us, but I get it. What blows my mind is Texas being ranked higher than us after going 8-5.

10 for sure. Outside chance at 9. 11 and the system is a fraud

They’d have to drop LSU from 5 to essentially 11/12… 6-7 spots is still a big drop for the AP poll voters to make for a top 5 team that just lost to another team that was in the top 10, even in a blowout.

(And of course, Texas and Washington both winning doesn’t help as they’re still ahead of UT.)

We’ll have to see. LSU would have to fall 6-7 spots for losing to another top 10 team; that’d be a pretty huge drop in that scenario. That might happen, but again that’s a big drop for a top 5 losing to top 10 situation.

At the worst, UT will definitely move up to 11th.

Agreed! Let me give another example, FSU, I know they looked good last night, but tell me why they were ranked above us? They have been a dumpster fire just like us. What did they really do last year compared to us? Just saying

The first poll is junk, since there's no record to base it on. Unfortunately these pollsters get wedded to their starting polls and don't want to admit blunders, so they often don't like to move teams down much with that first loss, no matter how much it's warranted.

Clemson and LSU have not only earned the right to drop out of the top 10, they've proved they didn't belong there to start with.

We should for sure be in, but if they shun us and put us at 11th we just need to use it as motivation. We just need to focus on one game at a time and handling business. The polls will eventually take care of themselves. GBO
Yup. Hopefully the team's been paying attention the past 2 days . You have to show up for every game .
