It seems like you're reading into my question something that isn't there. I was looking for information on which of the decommits the new staff will likely go after and what the chances are of getting them back.
Wouldn't be surprised to see y'all get Horn back if Pruitt puts forth the effort. I had the feeling that he decommitted because of Butch's inadequacy, not because he felt there is a better place for him than UT. He's flirting with us but there is little indication that we are suddenly his big love.
Don't trust your feelings.
Horn stayed on well after Butch got fired. But he jumped the day the Schiano fiasco blew up. Just guessing, but that was probably viewed more negatively where he lives than many of our locals see it.
I would love to get him back, but I think it will take a lot to recover him. Plus I am pretty sure he is a EE, so unless Pruitt is already talking to him? I don't like our chances here. It was another player who is no longer committed to us who helped sway him.
I believe the only way we get him is if Pruitt decides to hire Bryan McClendon away from SC. He is listed as Horn's SC recruiter by 247. Even then, it might be iffy.
I'll be curious who outside of Taylor that Pruitt even wants or tries to get back. I'm Guessing maybe Dean, Harris(TN) and possibly Horn but who knows where any of those guys lands on Pruitt's list. We have already seen a ton of new names pop up and most are on a different level than most of our decommits.
Well the Harris from Chattanooga is committed to Vanderbilt. So, he is the last one I expect to get back. Hate it too because he is a good player. I liked what I saw of all three, but I would rather Pruitt get players that pass his standard rather than trying to recover guys who have promises from coaches no longer here in their heads. Hopefully he can plug in some better players still available.
