After watching Clemson and Tahj Boyd the last 2 weeks I am finding more reasons to hate our former coach! He is a very talented qb

Tyler Bray not doing it for you?

Tajh has wins over ranked teams....

Just sayin'. I hope our TB takes his chance soon.

But we can all take heart in watching Lane "The Drain" lose another double handful of games out West with a talented team in a weak conference.

Boyd didn't really fit the mold of a pro style QB. Besides, beating Auburn didn't impress me much. Tigers are overrated imo. Florida State was beaten without 3 of their main guys. So, in closing, I believe you will change your mind when Boyd visits Virginia Tech next weekend.

We will see who goes higher on draft day. I'll take Bray and dislike Kiffin for other reasons.

I understand that Dooley is trying to build up a pro-style balanced attack, which is going to take years to do. Kiffin seemed to be headed in the same direction. It does seem that alot of teams have pulled themselves out of the ditch, at least short term, going with the option QB. At the most simplistic of levels it's a question of recruiting one guy or 5-6 guys.

I think that "option" QB has thrown for a zillion yards against his ranked opponents....

What does "pro style" even mean anymore? Does it have to come with consistent use of the I-formation, or pro-set? Boyd can throw the ball-Lane didn't seem to think he could which makes running off a talented QB stupid-no matter what anyone thinks of Bray. Kiffin's reasoning for telling Boyd not to come have been proven to be stupid. Meanwhile-his father still can't defend the new style of offense.

I liked Boyd a lot coming out of HS but of all the things to hate CLK for this isn't one. He was up fro t and honest with the kid. What more do you want ? He didn't think TB would fit his system and he was prolly right.

Didn't Lane tell Tahj that he would still honor his scholarship? If Tahj had still wanted to play for UT he could have.

As a 55 year Vol supporter. I like Boyd and I am sure he is thankful he didn't come to Tennessee. He is a very good quarterback that can run and chew gum at the same time. I wished we had him !

I think you're right. The more I remember about the Boyd recruitment the more CLK looks like a good guy for the brief few mins in history

From what I remember reading, yes Lane did say he would honor his scholly, but that he would probably not play qb for UT.

That also shows how Lane Kiffin cannot judge talent !! Boyd begged to be a part of the big orange ! Yet, Kiffin was too stupid to see his talents. Boyd can do it all. He can run and pass. As a matter of fact, I have seen Clemson in two full games. I think they can play with any team in the SEC. That includes Alabama and LSU ! Go ahead and blast me but you won't change my mind. Just like Kiffin didn't change my mind about his talents.

I totally agree that Kiffin was responsible for taking Bray. I like Bray but I also like Boyd. At the end of the year you will see what Boyd does. I say Clemson will beat VT !

The slimeball POS gets credit for signing Bray. Don't know how much that says about his ability to evaluate talent.

Somebody else found him and told him Bray had the tools, then I think the OC recruited him.

Bray fell into his lap after he had wiffed on everybody he wanted. He wouldn't have signed him if he didn't just absolutely have to from being turned down by his first however many choices. I'm glad those other guys didn't want to come here, but it's not like he wasn't the backup plan.

Peope forget he spent a year out with a busted knee. He was also hobbling by the end of the game. Will be surpised if his knee lasts the whole season.

And as good as he is playing, the Clemson D is another big reason the are winning vs ranked opponents.

Bray has crazy yards and he will continue to improve.

Nope. it's all Tajh. Had Kiffin not ran him off, we'd be sitting on crystal balls.
