Holly's mindset is too perfect. She wants to play the perfect game with the perfect execution. In the meantime what I think is really talented team looks lost. It has now evolved to the fact that I won't bother watching the lady vols only because I hate to see a team being hindered by their own coach! Time to go Holly!! Step down and go on. You are over your head.

Well, we had an idea the game would go this way so I'm not really disappointed. Let's focus on the SEC now

Been time to go for a long while now !!!! In my opinion this program will have to hit rock bottom before she is let go. She is just a part of the good ole gal network.

When do the players shoulder some of the blame? Just asking.

We can blame the players but isn't the HC responsible for coaching and controlling the players? It is the coaching. This team is a ship wreck without a real captain in charge. The coach has to accept responsibility for her/his team which includes the attitude and playing of the players. Don't just throw the players under the bus throw the coaches under the bus as well.

Diamond was brilliant at North Carolina. I made the comment more than once that I would like to see a player of her caliber at Tennessee. Tonight (and really sorry to say this about a 20 year old girl) she looked like a pouty, spoiled brat that quit on her team. There is only one reason for the difference.

Well, based on what Holly says after every loss, I'd assume they shoulder the blame all the time because the coaching staff sure the hell never accepts responsibility.

I don't want Holly thrown under the bus, but I do want her kept off it a la Lane Kiffin at USC.

The people on this board blindly defending Holly and saying things like "She's not out there not making plays...that's on the players" Sound EXACTLY like the idiots who were on here saying the same garbage about Dooley after he lost to Kentucky.

Players are a reflection of their coach.....PERIOD.

Never!! It's up to the coaches to recruit, game plan, manage the game and get the most of their players.

I tune in sometimes to the last half of the second half. If it's like tonight--forget it. I watch old Seinfeld re-runs or something.

I think Tyler is 8 and 8 or something like that. As long as Mickey is coming too, I say go ahead and make the tough call.

Too much talent going to waste--no talent on the way...

Holly is also getting blitzed on the recruiting trail. :jpshakehead:

Seriously? Without Diamond, they lose by 30.

Want to blame someone? Try Russell...or Carter...or Cooper. Those three were pitiful tonight.

I got the impression at NC that she was a ball hog who shot 220 more times than the nearest player, shot 28% from 3 pt range and cared mainly about her stat sheet. But that's just me.

This staff has no idea how to coach Diamond or any other player who is not ok with not competing. DD was the only player competing this am. NC had four; count them four freshman that could have started for any program in the nation and their ASSISTANT coaches somehow found a way for them to share the ball and win. SYSTEMS DEVELOP PLAYERS...

You know your are so spot on with this comment. I saw her play against Duke and was an instant fan. When I read that she was coming to UT I was very excited. I have seen burst of that Diamond this season but she is not the same. I know she had to sit out a season and was injured so that had to take a toll but she has changed. I wonder what happened?

Nobody gave up. If they played whole game like last 3 minutes. We win
