Taxpayer-funding to go toward 'gender perspectives' training at war colleges

The defense spending bill passed by the House of Representatives Wednesday includes $1 million for the Pentagon to hire "gender advisors."

An amendment sponsored by Democrats passed by voice vote to give women "a seat at the table" during diplomatic negotiations.

"When women's voices are heard, they can be catalysts for change—especially when it comes to peace," said Rep. Lois Frankel (D., Fla.), after her amendment was included in the defense spending bill.

The amendment authorizes $1 million in taxpayer-funding for the Department of Defense to hire "gender advisors" and for training on "gender perspectives at the war colleges."

Yeah, we probably paid three times that much to shuttle Trump to Mar-a-Lago to eat chocolate cake and get two scoops of vanilla ice cream while his entourage gets one scoop.

I'd do it for a million bucks.

Rule 1. Don't argue with the woman at the negotiating table. You will not win.

Rule 2. Don't let another woman negotiate with a woman. Eventually, they're both going to agree you were wrong.

Rule 3. If you ignore Rules 1 and 2 and she says "whatever..." an attack is already being planned against you.

Rule 4. If she says "I need like five minutes to decide" have lunch sent in; you're going to be there a while.

Rule 5. Whatever concessions she makes, you're going to end up paying ten times in return.

Rule 6. Regardless of the concessions she makes, there will be changes fifteen minutes later.

Rule 7. And she'll tell you that's what she meant from the start.

Rule 8. You're not going to win regardless of how strong your position is.

Where's my money?

So gender advisers have been around since 2009. Every Western Military has had them and now the U.S. military is incorporating them more widely with the integration of females into combat roles. Basically, a Gender Advisors job is to "provide guidance and advice on how to integrate operations and missions, crisis and conflict analysis, concepts, doctrine, procedures, and education and training."
One example is when the Army suddenly realized that woman can't wear body armor that has been designed for men after being told that for years that it causes some musculoskeletal injuries in female soldiers over time Gender Advisors have been at the Combatant Command level since June of this year. It's really not that big of a deal of been told about it.

But it's a million dollars in a 600 billion dollar budget and I don't like the way it sounds politically, so let's focus on this almost insignificant amount of money as we sell our children and grandchildren down the river of unbearable debt by supporting/turning a blind eye to the swamp that is the MIC.

Ah. So they basically look at ways to make things more complicated and more difficult than they need to be. Glad I got out before this dumb sh!t started.

part of the larger problem. willingness to spend and get involved in too much stuff. removing it would be treating a symptom at this point, not the disease. but those symptoms can take you down. cutting this out would be small thing, but how many similar programs are like this?
