Defensive Staff Terminated.

Larry Smith was contained by Wake Forest pretty well last night. Not too worried about your little highschool's alumni.

This is the 1st sign that Kiffin is a great head coach!

And you don't let everyone go unless you already had someone in place...like Dad

In-a-way it's somewhat sad because honestly Chavis has carried Fulmer foe several years and being in the Top 10 in Defense didn't hurt one bit.

Hat... What one word would you use to describe the whole situation? Excited? Optimistic? Anxious? Nervous? Etc...

I will just hang up and listen as I sit in the airport terminal because my flight is delayed and my gulfstream is in the shop. (-:

Yeah class rules go out the window when it gets bad enough. Watch UT at all this year? Mack Adams and Nickson have been just as awful.

A quote from Mobile Davidson's Coach...Prattvilles last victim...

"Huntsville is a city school, Hoover is a city school, Prattville is a college, and that makes us the best county football team in the state of Alabama," Riley said, referring to the other three Class 6A semifinalists. "Prattville and Hoover, they’re in a different league."

Second-half surge lifts Prattville over Davidson - al.com

Dude why are you continuing to post this garbage in here? It is completely irrelevant and I doubt anyone besides you cares about it. I believe we are all dumber for having read those posts, and would like those 15 seconds of our lives back, I award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

I'm excited. New beginnings are only tough on people who fear change. I have no such phobia.

So you measure football intellect by the number of VN posts?...you're too smart for me.

Not exclusively. From that measure we deduct intellect points from those people residing in Alabama. The figure that we deduct is tripled for those individuals that can't even spell the name of the state in which they reside.

Happy Trails, Chavis. I think you're a good coach and you will be missed for giving your all for Tennessee. Good luck getting a new job.

I heard that Chavis and his family have some kind of very good business in the Knoxville area. Not sure what kind but the way i understand it he has plenty to do, even if he doesnt want to coach anymore.

I doubt he would get a HC job.

It's amazing how inept offenses have hurt Chavis. He's still a very good DC. UT had the 6th rated D this year. For the amount of time Chavis' D spent on the field, that is amazing. He could coach somewhere if he wanted to. He just has no desire.

I have a MBA so when you pull that sausage from your upper orfice you might (maybe...just maybe) understand the plight of living in Alabama.

I'm going to be kind to Chavis and let this one slide by without comment.

Think he may be on LSU's radar for DC or is it Ed's job to lose?

I think LSU would take Chavis over Orgeron, I'm just not sure if Chavis wants that job.

Personally though, I'd be happy with that. Chief gets another good job, we get a guy we want to come in. Win win situation

I don't think the cat has the personality to coach under anyone except Phil. I could see him being a LB coach in the NFL.

...and we would be secure in the knowledge that it would be EASY to light up LSU's defense going forward.
