It's amazing how inept offenses have hurt Chavis. He's still a very good DC. UT had the 6th rated D this year. For the amount of time Chavis' D spent on the field, that is amazing. He could coach somewhere if he wanted to. He just has no desire.

When has M ever been a vowel? Man my 2nd grade teacher must have really screwed up.
You also have to consider sound. 'an M' versus 'a M'.....
Another example: 'We have a unique opportunity next season.' Even though 'u' is a vowell, it is preceded by the letter 'a' rather than by 'an'. Just how would it sound to say 'an unique opportunity'?

Chavis is non-competitive against good OC's and teams with good offensive talent. His stats have been boosted by performances against clown OC's and undermanned teams.
I'm glad he's gone more than anyone else they booted. Nothing personal... he's just the main reason IMO that CPF's record against the best teams was so bad over the last several years.
