No JC Copeland...any good news on John Brown?

Calvin Smith gone elsewhere apparently (and also apparently projected as an OL).

Where do we go from here?

Hard to believe that we will end up losing Willis, Copeland, C. Smith, and likely J. Brown, all in this class. We need something good to happen here, but I have no idea where it is going to come from.

Personally I would make a call to Tim McAdoo if he hasn't already signed and ask him if he is interested. It would be better than nothing. I'm assuming that we could get the Glass kid out of Dallas Carter but he is more of an OL I think.

guys dont freak out hell we started two f'ing walk ons last year and made due.. you dont have to have all four and five stars.... yeah it would be nice but make due with what you got and be happy to have these boys that want to bleed orange.

what's the bad word on John Brown? I just heard that he is still headed to Tennessee pending academic requirements

It's easier to build an OL. It just takes 5 guys and a little luck to avoid injuries.

A good DL requires depth even when healthy since they rotate so much and tire quickly. I'm more worried about the DL.

Maybe we can move to a 3-4 and some of UT's ends can gain weight.

If the 3-4 rumors are true, can we move some of large and in charge back up OLinemen to NG. Thinking of Brimfield and the guy Douglas beat out at OT.

I think we should say to hell with and call in the broken arrow defense. It plays out like a 1-1-9. Rod Wilks for the line, a linebacker to play the lute and sing renaissance songs of Wilks splendor and grace, and the remaining 9 d backs to serve as tray holders for various meat and cheese platters.

Yeah, and we went 7-6 last year with walk-ons and superb coaching. We aren't going to be better in that area next year or the year after probably.

It's not going to change at dtackle. Now? We survive off of smoke and mirrors for another year. We hope we get a dc that can outscheme everybody like Monte did. We hope c smith is as good as many think he will be and can take another underacheiver and make them into a first rounder like o did with three star d Williams

Right now we are serviceable at the DT position, however if we have any injuries then it could get to into dire straits. I mean, Matt McGothlin bad.
