You going to pick this week’s sec games? I have thoughts but they’re likely wrong.

I will.

I like
UT -33.5
Mizzou -19.5
UGA -17
Ark -6
Utah -2.5
UK -17
LSU -3

The Utah/UF game is not good for bettors. So many unknowns with UF and Utah likely overrated due to last year's results which include a misleading result versus Ohio State in rhe Rose Bowl where 24 tOSU players were out for a variety of reasons.

Not saying as a UF fan I have great confidence in this transitional year but I am skeptical of Utah's ranking.

UF has a new coach, offense and maybe defense. The personnel isn't great. However, I get your point.

Yeah that one makes me nervous. Utah has to cross the country and they sure didn’t start out very well last year. I lean Utah but I don’t like it at all.

Mizzou, Utah and UK make me nervous. I actually would pick La Tech personally but the rest I agree with. What about Bama and the 2 MS schools? I think Bama covers and I don’t think either MS school does.

Also re Utah, they go from the comfort of 70 pct humidity and night time Temps around 70, to 95 percent humidity and still 90 degrees at kick off. I am sure they are working on conditioning but don't be surprised if cramping an issue for them fourth quarter.

There was no line on Bama when I posted this. It's now -41
I think Bama because their offense is so good but Utah State actually has a decent offense themselves and Bama usually takes the foot off the gas in games like this. What do you think? It could literally be 49-3 at halftime and an easy cover, 38-7 final so no cover or both, an apparently way cover at the half as it’s 49-3 and then the final is 49-10. I really really hate games like that last one. Bama did that to me once last year or the year before.

I try to never bet on or against the Gumps. They have killed me several times. I bet on them against Clemson in the NC game, as part of a 3 team parlay. I won the first two, and Bama had won and covered with two minutes left.. They then let Clemson drive the length of the field and score to cover.

Just a gut feel or do you have specific reasons? I’m just curious. Mine is mostly gut feel based on the little I know about the teams, emphasis on little.

Over the years I have learned that favorites win a lot of the time in the first week. The fifth or sixth team in the SEC East is light years better than the 3rd place team in Conference USA

Simple and not overthinking it. I like it. I tend to overthink things.

I heard that Utah has been watering the field at their indoor facility, closing all the doors and turning off the AC to try and create a hot and humid environment. We’ll see if that makes a difference.

How in the world has Virginia Tech as a program come to playing a game at Old Dominion and only favored by 6.5???? What am I missing here? VT feels like the easy pick. I know they got absolutely boat raced in their final game last year against Maryland but that was a team that had completely checked out.
