Delmonico interviews for vacancy

TR's cronies are out in force this am. Delmonico was forced out after one (1) poor season. And Todd has done what? Rod may be somewhat an ass, but he knows the game.

You might want to hang out around this forum a little longer before you make a fool of yourself with a post like this.

1) Hardly anyone here supports TR at all. The consensus is he should have been fired at the end of this season.

2) You can't seriously think the only 2 options for baseball coach at UT are Delmonico and Raliegh.

Tennesse could lure a slew of top coaches from around the country. Among the list of those better than Raleigh and Delmonico (I know thats a LONG list, these are highlights)...

Dave Serrano - Cal State Fullerton
Mike Taylor - Rice
Joe Mercadante - Miami
Scott Forbes - North Carolina
Dave Tollett - Florida Gulf Coast
Craig Gibson - Mercer
Tony Skole - East Tennessee State (swept UT like 3 years in a row)

Good list.

Dave Serrano - Nope, Fullerton is a better job than UT. Far more tradition. and Serrano is an alumnus (sort of)

Mike Taylor - Rice- Good young assistant under an excellent coach.

Joe Mercadante - Miami- don't think good fit. The Miami guys like to stay where it's warmer.

Scott Forbes - North Carolina- maybe but I don't like ACC and especially North Carolina guys. 1955!

Dave Tollett - Florida Gulf Coast--good choice

Craig Gibson - Mercer--dont' know much about.

Tony Skole - ETSU (Can only beat UT)
