Delmonico and his staff rarely recruited kids outside of Knoxville. Yes, RJ Dickey fell in his lap (RJ would have gone to Vandy but they didn’t accept him). I know personally how lazy RD & his staff were during the late 90s recruiting mid state kids.
he burned some bridges for sure however time heals all wounds and those folks are long gone I believe.......I wouldn't be shocked if he becomes a Hall of Famer at some point. Will Coach Rod Delmonico make the ‘Tennessee Baseball Hall of Fame’ one day like Coach Bill Wright did or did he burn too many bridges?
Shoot! Rod D goes down with Majors, Devoe and Summitt for me. That’s who I cut my baseball teeth with and I’ll always have a place for Delmonico.he burned some bridges for sure however time heals all wounds and those folks are long gone I believe.......I wouldn't be shocked if he becomes a Hall of Famer at some point.
