Delta Variant

Which is very few considering that 85% of them are vaccinated. In other words 60% of the cases are coming from 15% of the population. Furthermore their "spike" is quite mild at this point. They have about 1200 cases/day and they used to hit 6-8K/day

It is coming from the population that hasnt had covid previously.

The people vaccinated and with a previous infection are likely not contributing to new cases because of previous infection. More so than because they are vaccinated.

Vaccines mutate...that's why they are hard to fight...the one good thing is that as they mutate they generally become weaker because believe it or not...viruses want to survive and killing their hosts, that they depend on also affects them

True.

Normally this is 100% true, but this time Delta is proving otherwise.

I agree it's more contagious...think thats because very few as a whole had any immunity anyway...but has it shown to be more deadly? Asking not accusing..honestly I haven't paid as much attention lately because we are low risk...work from home and homeschool

I remember some of the politicos saying that these masks, etc are the 'new normal' early on in this fiasco. I can't help but to keep wondering 'how did they know that '?

Accidental release my ass
I agree, it was engineered, but the release may have been accidental.

I don't think so. The way it attacked the population centers that it did doesn't make sense to me. For example, explain why NYC and not Mexico City. They live far more densely there. It should have been a wildfire in a paper factory there.

This has been the biggest con since Bernie Madoff, and when the truth comes out (if it ever does) Fauci will be right in the middle of it.

CNN reporting that over 60% of new hospital admissions for C19 in England are fully vaccinated persons. Not sure why the hell I got this. You can still wind up in the hospital, which means you can still die from it. Plus, we've got various localities rushing to reimplement all the masking and distancing requirements without regard to vaccination status. Whole thing is a cluster.
Link?

And how many people is that because I don't believe you. I dont know of a single person that has gotten sick from the vaccine. Maybe felt tired for 24 hrs but I dont consider that being sick.

For me personally, my first dose, I never knew I had it. My second dose, within 12 hours, every muscle and joint in my body hurt like nothing I’d ever felt before. Ran a fever as well. This lasted about 36 hours. One of my daughters had very similar symptoms. We both work in the healthcare field. Roughly, 1/3 of the employees in my hospital that received the vaccine felt like absolute $h!t for 24-36 hours.

EDIT: Just for reference sake, we were given Moderna.

First dose I was fine. Second dose had the chills and had body aches for about 12 hours. My wife had the chills on first dose and nothing in the second. No big deal but it was a crappy 12 hours.0

I don't know if my second dose took. I was on immunosuppressants for rheumatoid arthritis and was stressed to the max from job interviews and traveling to say goodbye to my mother. I don't remember feeling any ill effects beyond the general malaise I feel any time I have to be in an airplane.

Is there any way to check if it took?

Of course: get an antibody test

If you are vaccinated, the delta variant will not kill you or send you to the hospital. For those unvaccinated, not so…

OK, so is that going to be the new spin now? The vaccine won't protect you from getting the Delta Variant, but it will minimize the effects??? Really? Do you see why people don't trust "the science" because of all of the shifting and gold post moving?

Nope, not the new spin.
The message is, get the vaccine to avoid, permanent long term health issues from Covid, hospitalization and death.

This is upsetting, news out of Israel is not good. The vaccines are not holding up well to the Delta Variant.

Actually, it’s turning out the vaccine is working really well in Israel.
Yes there are break through infections because of delta but it’s keeping the vaccinated out of the hospital and from dying.
Here is a good explanation

Lol. Nobody is giving accurate numbers.

Got family Florida. One who is a primary care physician. He said what you are seeing is complete BS.
I live in Florida, it’s bad. I really don’t understand how you can say what I see is BS because you have someone in your family who is a physician in Florida.
Do you really believe all of this is a lie?

This is from FOX NEWS Orlando…

About 5,300 Floridians are now hospitalized with COVID, a 65% jump since last week and nearly a tripling since June 14 when 1,845 were hospitalized, the Florida Hospital Association said. Officials have said more than 95% of those hospitalized were not vaccinated.
Florida's COVID-19 hospitalization rate jumps by 65% since last week

Have you tried looking at the original vaccine study to see if this actually new?

Did you feel bad enough to miss work? I know people that had no issues at all and others that felt horrible for a day or so, but not which vaccine they received.

For the record, I am 100% against people being forced to take the vaccines. However, while the mainstream media misreported and mangled the facts in their messaging about the vaccines (as they also do with every other news story), it was always true that taking the vaccines did not necessarily prevent you from getting Covid. They should lower the chances of you getting Covid. However, the primary benefit was that if you contracted Covid, the vaccines should prevent you from becoming so ill that you were hospitalized or killed. You actually had to do some research on the vaccines to find this information, but it was available prior to the launch of the vaccines despite the fact that the mainstream media didn't report those facts (to the shock of everyone). How do I know that? My dad and I both read this information and discussed it extensively before the vaccines launched.
