Delta Variant

Fallopian implantation / Ectopic pregnancy. (Removal is medical coded as abortive procedure)
Fetus is non-viable or no longer has a heartbeat but not rejected by the body (Removal is medical coded as abortive procedure)
Carrying the fetus would result in death or permanent disability to the mother.
Use of chemotherapy or other anti-cancer medications that could result in severe deformations or stillbirth
Sorry mom. You chose to have a baby. It is a dangerous thing and the kid is not responsible nor can it be held accountable if it kills you. The only one I will agree with above is that if the fetus is already dead. The last one is a choice by mom (bad one).

But at least you didn't say rape or incest, so I'll give you that.

You so found it insulting that I refer to you as a liberal? I've read your post for some time and you seem very liberal. Like I said insulting me, call me a conservative.

If not mocking people, not using epithets, encouraging kindness and empathy, and understanding that we are all fellow children of God make me a liberal, then so be it. Label me as you wish. My Father in Heaven will be my real judge.

This conversation has broken down when AshG replies about a beating your wife question with an abortion answer.

You might want to re-read that section of the thread. I was asked a yes or no question about abortion, so I responded by asking a yes or no question as well. The sequencing is important.

The only real answer should be "Abortion is a medical procedure to be decided between a woman and her medical doctor." I merely provided you with what my rationale would be.

Ectopic pregnancies cannot be moved and reimplanted. If not aborted, they are a death sentence for both the child and mother. I don't see why you don't find that to be a valid reason. There are also medical issues affecting a woman's ability to carry a child to term that do not come to light until the hormonal and physical changes occur during pregnancy. And there's also the possibility that cancer may not be found until the first fetal ultrasound. There's a host of issues that only a few people on this board are qualified to discuss fully, and that does not include me.

Something we can agree on. If calling you a liberal is insulting, I apologize. I've seen this before where liberals are somehow offended being referred to as liberals. You're post have always been very liberal in nature. Remember, you're the one one that came to the rescue of another very liberal poster. He's the one that came at me with his post saying I was a hypocrite. Funny how you took his side. The liberals side. 🤔

I didn't check his credentials to see which side he was on. I simply saw where he said "A" and you said "B". I've taken up for conservative posters as well.

I'm a complex individual who fits neither "side". I love God, family, and guns. I believe the government is bloated beyond belief and needs bariatric surgery. I also happen to support pro-worker practices and believe we can do better at taking care of one another.

I didn’t think “media bias exists” was particularly responsive to the point of the post, either.

Show me anywhere in the media that anyone ever referred to it as the Delta Muslim Variant.
And honestly I’m not sure if it’s because you are dead set in criticizing anything I have to say like you always do or you really can’t see how it’s offensive.

How is it offensive?

Empathy isn't liberal, it's decent human being. Never thought I'd have to say that.
Conservatives and libertarians have empathy too. The difference is when the people you are trying to empathize with are doing the same anti societal or illegal or negative behaviors that directly affect their “problems” and refuse to change. Logic and fixing the issue is more important than feeling bad about it. I feel like I shouldn’t have to explain that to a “doctorate” level teacher, even a former music one

That’s not offensive either. So what’s the big deal?
Depends on his intent. If someone called it the white Christian male variant it would depend on their intent too. Clearly they are doing it for a reason. Could be ignorance on the religious make up of India. Yet he hasn't backed down on that. So it's potentially something else. Probably not meant as a compliment to those of the Muslim faith.

When did I ever say we should feel bad about it? There are examples throughout my posting history examining group situations and dynamics and providing recommendations for action. And those actions don't involve pity parties.

And logic and fixing the issue require us to address our personal and societal biases face to face in order to actually make any headway. Otherwise, it's going to be the same old platforms of Give Them More Money or Take Away The Money, repeat ad infinitum, with no real progress made.

I've never had a problem with you. I recognized your liberal ideology and respected your stance. While I disagree with much of your worldview I never called you out on it. As a mater of fact I'm almost certain I invited you to use my families gun range.

That being said, the poster used the word hypocrisy in reference to my post in calling out the bias in the media. While not directly denying that liberal bias existed, he decided that it was hypocritical for me to claim it existed. I simply pointed our that the media was a while boat load of hypocrisy.

Then you went on some diatribe about how my post didn't address what he said. I think it was pretty self explanatory where I was going. Sorry you didn't get it. Peace!

And of the millions of abortions that have occurred since 1973, what percentage of those abortions were directly due to the mother's life being placed in jeopardy if the baby goes to full term?

Actually, Ash is correct. I never addressed whether or not I believed there is bias in media (obviously there is), I just basically called you lazy and/or intellectually dishonest for chronically scapegoating the media instead of holding people accountable for what they say and do.

Call me when you apply the same standards to your intellectually lazy liberal drivel you spout on a daily basis.
