democrats want control of the oil

That is pretty funny. Please spend your money on finding, drilling and delivering the oil and we'll take it from there. Seriously, if they're going to nationalize why stop at just the refineries? I just know the US gov't is efficient enough to give us a product just as good at a cheaper price.

People begging for CHANGE are about to get it and it's gonna hurt. Vaseline is a petroleum product too so they'll control that and don't think you're getting any.

the democrats want to nationalize oil. instead of drilling for more oil and lowering the prices, they would rather control everything. this is so scary. how anyone would want to vote for a bunch of socialists is beyond me.
HOLY SH** ARE YOU KIDDING? AFTER EVERYTHING BUSH HAS DONE AND GAS BEING WAY UP, YOU START A THREAD ABOUT DEMS AND THEIR LUST FOR OIL? :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:UNREAL

I think it's much more about their desire to nationalize businesses. Still not sure how Bush is controlling the price of gas.

Gas, the tanking economy, and the increasing price of Tennessee Football tickets are all due to the Bush administration. Don't you read the news.

What are we now? The economy is awful and people are losing their houses left and right and you complain about a guy who is not even in office yet.

So now Bush is responsible for the housing market bubble bursting and uninformed Americans taking out "creative" flexible interest loans.

The economy is not awful. We have fared better in this recession than in either of the previous two. Your perception of it is shaped by the media and they are blowing it out of proportion. They use lead ins like "never since the depression" and too many buy it. It is not all doom and gloom. The economy is doing well during this recession, especially considering the current rate of gas prices.

HOHEN I dont get it. Every time someone calls Bush out the pat response is "So Bush is responsible for????????" If he had 0 to do with it then why do we all have a check for 600.?

Not saying he's the smartest or the best FV. But alot of what is happening today with the economy and prices are cyclical in nature.

Oh and people are not losing their houses left and right. Look at the total percentage numbers of foreclosures. Those that are being foreclosed on would have happened anyway, they had more house than they could afford. The market is correcting itself. This is largely to blame on lenders like Country Wide, oh, didn't Obama have an executive of theirs as one of his advisers? Hmmmmm:question:

FV Bush does not control gas prices. I'm not sure why everyone thinks that. I'll ask you this, what do you think about Obama wanting to Nationalize oil, and to cut back on spending he wants to stop the development of new missles as well as start to eliminate our nukes. Does that sound like a good idea to you considering we are at war and that Iran and others want us dead?

Also what do you think about his party not letting us search and drill for more oil here? hmmm...if they would like to help us why don't they let us drill here.

I guess what I'm asking you FV is what is it that you see in him? Just wanting to get your point of view

Well I am truly not saying Obama is the cure or that he would make a good pres. I dont know how he would do (AND NEITHER DO ANY OF YOU). I think Regan did a good job so I am not againts Repubs just more jaded about Bush!

I would hardly consider a soon to be, if not already nuclear capable Iran AK47 toting thugs. Especially when you consider their leadership convinced of their role in playing the ultimate end game.

So now Bush is responsible for the housing market bubble bursting and uninformed Americans taking out "creative" flexible interest loans.

but that's where the Dems derive their power and following. They get the American people dependent on them to fix their mistakes and it eventually leads to a total gov't ownership of your life. The days of making mistakes and digging yourself out of a hole are gone and this is sadly just the beginning. I just hope I'm around for the revolution!

Most repubs would agree with you there.

FV if you are on board w/ them over this i think w/e beer you drink has killed your logical thinking. look we have enough oil here to last us for a while. if i was pres. i'd make a push to take iraqs oil. might as well. we should flex some muscle.

Well I dont know maybe they see the cure being worse than the problem.:glare:

Or maybe gas prices are just where they want them. Gore said a few years ago that he thought gas prices should be around $4.00 a gal.
