You find me a good politician and I will give you a dollar.

It's all relative. But I do think there are some good ones. They just don't get much of the spotlight b/c they've learned it's more effective to do good work behind the scenes.

A good rule of thumb is probably the less publicity a politician receives (other than prez candidates), the more likely he/she is acting honorably and genuinely.

I can live with that, I said in a previous post, my brother has several "good" politicians, and they are democrats, that are members of his church.

My brother got to open the Arkansas Senate with prayer this year.

Very cool about your bro.

My father is a minister and has had 1 man in his congregation who was a state politician in Tenn - just as solid and grounded as they come. Don't know if he still wants to run for a bigger office, but I'd support him.

He also seems to be a good judge of character - just his instincts, and I think your (and most of our) hunch is correct - that 99.9% of politicians are in it for themselves, not for the greater good.
