Denarius Moore v. Robert Meachem

Lol I was joking. Just heard on ESPN radio in the car over lunch that MJD was third round material at best this year. I think he cited mostly age. Do you agree, or disagree?

Probably agree. Our league is a "keepers league," so we basically start in the fourth round. I drafted MJD with my first pick because I needed a RB, but that makes him about a fourth round selection.

Julio wasn't available, but I had no problem using him as a benchwarmer. I figure if he goes off, great. If he blows, it's easy to cut the ties.

is there a fantasy football fourm on this site? i'd love to discuss my team after i draft it saturday

There is an NFL forum, and it would probably make sense to have this discussion there, but I dunno...

Edit: I see we've been moved to the NFL forum. So there you have it.

QUICK NOTE: I didn't see a fantasy football sub-forum, but would appreciate a heads up if this thread was supposed to go somewhere else.

So I have both D-Mo and Meach on my fantasy team this season, and I'm pretty excited about that. I can start one, but not both. Any thoughts?

The way I see it, it's experience and talent with a spotty track record (Meach) vs. talent without experience, but coming off a good camp (D-Mo).

I'm thinking I take D-Mo against the Denver as opposed to Meach against Green Bay. Yeah?

The "everything fantasy football" might be better for smaller fantasy questions in the future, but really it's all good; there's no subforum for it

Neither looks terribly great to have in the lineup week 1 (good news for moore is nice to hear, but until he performs as such on the field, it doesnt mean too much)

But week 1 is your time to experiment (you're not going to lose the season if you lose week 1), so Moore would be a fine play for that reason

its tough to start anyone for the Saints. They do a really good job spreading the ball around.

Drew Brees>>>>>>>>Jason Campbell

You have to take that into account. If Meachem stinks, which he won't, it'll probably be his fault. Moore could be great, but he still has a QB throwing him the ball who's average at best. Meachem's the much safer bet IMO.

This is the last year of Meachem's contract. Time to shine. He's making $1.2M this season. What he does over these next 4 weeks will determine where he lands between $4M and $8M per year. I'd love to see him go somewhere else and be a #1.
