Dennis Dodd: What percentage of programs cheat?

If you recall, these types of NCAA transgressions followed Sherrill from Texas A&M. Some of this stuff is you are who you are and time and circumstances tend to eventually show it up.

Wow. Didn't know that. And the same kind of deal. He leaves A&M, they get two years probation, but he personally escapes any charges of wrongdoing.

Given that Tennessee is historically the second winningest team in the SEC, how much greater would the overall cheating proficiency of a Tennessee team actually be, over the decades, than say a forever underwhelming Miss State?

You are ignoring both scale and scope with Bama, and that's what makes it different. I think the quotes from the NCAA infraction committee and history of offenses from the Bama program speak for itself. Quite frankly, it makes fans look silly when they compare against other programs (UT in this case) to make themselves not seem as bad.

Its like the guy that regular robs cash registers at gunpoint saying it isn't bad because some other guy stole a candy bar. Sure man, everybody cheats. SMH.

So why did you just do it?

Rival fans often put me in mind of the self-righteous tone of the Penn State fans. For decades, every time they didn't win enough games would talk endlessly about their coaches integrity and spotless reputation on the old recruiting trail. "We may not beat you as often, but we do it the right way," unlike everyone else who happened to be kicking their backside at the time.

And as we know, by the time the dust settled those fans could only wish it was about money changing hands.

I didn't just do it, I'll let you re-read and think about what I just did.

And the fact that you bring up PSU is proof positive if the point I just made, once you figure it out.
