Don't be a whiner....I went to UT from 69-74, worked full time, with no financial support and no loans or grants.....I graduated with money in the bank....went to work and obtained an MBA from Columbia while working and raising a family...get a plan and get to work......and although I like to think I am, I'm not all that special....or, the world needs ditch diggers too I suppose....

More excellent advice. Don't quit. Don't complain. Just set a goal and achieve it. Then set another. Don't stop til you make it. Do it for your God. Do it for yourself. And for your mom. :good!:

One day, one problem at a time.
you can't fix everyone or everything yourself, so take a deep breath and write down a list of priorities. I would think they would look something like:
1. Make an appointment with the school counseling center and talk to an actual person.
2. put some work in on your schoolwork. Some amount of progress in that area will give you some confidence/peace that you are on track.
3. if you don't have one, consider a part time .job. Maybe you can send $50 bucks home each week to help your mom.
4. stop any destructive behaviors for a while. You may want to go out and drink/party but maybe now is a good time to give that a rest for a while until you feel better about life overall.

but first, go talk to a counselor, they can help.

i know it is tough times on you and your mom
talk to her and see what she has to say
i am betting she will tell you to stay in school and do your best there
moms are all ways good for that kind of information
you both will get through these tough times
trust what your heart has to say
