"Jerome Bettis and Brandon Jacobs and Eddie George and Lynch were all good, but could they juke people side-to-side?"
There's more than one way to make people miss. Richardson failed because he had godawful vision, which Henry doesn't have. He'll be fine. If he went anywhere other than Bama, most on here would probably agree
No. I called him a bust based on watching him struggle to run in college without wide open gargantuan running lanes.
This horrible footwork doesn't surprise me.
He is nothing like Eddie George, Hurd is a lot like George.
Hurd is comparable in size to Henry and there is a big difference between the two.
Henry is a downhill runner and he needs time to get going (slow acceleration) plus he has zero lateral quickness. That doesn't translate well into the NFL.
Sure he may be able to punch one in from time to time but he won't be an every down back. Especially not with the Titans because he is going to need a great O-line who created huge gaps in order for him to be successful. He isn't getting that there.
You sure he has "slow acceleration" and "needs time to get going"??
"According to "Sports Science," Henry's acceleration in the first 5 yards was the fastest time of any player analyzed at any position in the last three drafts.
He is also 26 percent faster than any other player tested in the last four drafts."
Oh. Sorry, for the redundancy. The gap between perception and reality regarding Henry appears to be somewhat cavernous.
He was drafted by the Titans, he will most assuredly will be a bust.
They did. But he countered with how stupid owners and general managers are. You know, people who make tons of money making those type decisions.
