Florida head coach Urban Meyer was the last coach to make his pitch to Greenbelt (Md.) Eleanor Roosevelt athlete Derrick Williams as the new Gator head man was in the Williams household Wednesday night for a visit. How did it go?

Williams met with Florida last night.
"It was good, we were impressed," said Dwight Williams, Derrick's father. "he was very smooth and very prepared. He has a plan for Derrick like everyone else, but showed it well and it's a little different."
Williams would essentially be the H-Back at Florida right away in Meyer's offense.
"They said the H-Back never leaves the field, like the quarterback," Dwight said. "He lines up in the slot, catches the ball, runs reverses and even gets those forward option pitches. They think Derrick can do some damage with the ball in his hands 15 times a game or more."
Meyer was with coach Locksley (running backs coach) and coach Gonzales (wide receivers coach).
"We've known Locks for awhile, but it was good to meet coach Gonzales," Dwight said. "They put Florida right back in the mix. We were a bit upset when co ach Zook was fired, but meeting coach Meyer helped."
Williams said that Meyer was very confident in his plan in the SEC.
"He's not going to change what made his successful," Dwight said. "He just has more tools at Florida and a lot of talent."
Williams will now go underground when it comes to the media and college coaches.
"We're shutting it down for the most part," said Dwight. "Derrick needs time to think and we all need to discuss the options."
Has any school been eliminated?
"None of the ones he visited," he said. "Florida, Penn State, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Texas are the final five and each has something different about it. He'll be choosing between all five next Wednesday."
Williams will appear on ESPNews Thursday at 3:45PM EST to discuss his recent visits to Oklahoma and Texas as well as his decision-making process.
His commitment will be carried live from Eleanor Roosevelt High School on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at 3:30PM EST on ESPNews.
