ABC has given the go-ahead for a full season pickup of its new show, “Designated Survivor”
Meaning it has earned its back-nine order to bring the total episodes for this season to 22.
Through two episodes, drama “Designated Survivor” is averaging a 2.0 same-day rating in adults 18-49 and just under 9 million viewers; its first episode grew from a 2.2 to a 3.7 in adults 18-49 with three days of delayed viewing.
It’s also given ABC a big boost year to year in the 10 p.m. ET/PT timeslot. Its 2.0 average in adults 18-49 is 74 percent higher than the 1.15 for the first two episodes of “Nashville” last season.
