Dexter Moody??

Come on Vader, bet me. It's a little unfair being that the chances are totally against him, but you see supremely confident so let's have us a bet.

I really don't have a good feeling about Moody. His issues have come recently unlike Hood. At least Hood has gone 6 years without any trouble and has a 3.8 GPA and a 27 ACT score. This has to say something about his character. Not to mention the victim herself sent a letter on his behalf and the school said they would put their reputation on the line for him. Moody has been in trouble a couple of times and it wasn't that long ago.

I will be very curious to see if Moody qualifies. If he does I say give him a shot with a very tight leash.

We already will have way too many possible APR hits with some of the guys that already qualfied in the 2009 class. This guy also has a history of trouble from the things I have heard. We don't need another LB that bad.

He screws up once, we kick him off the team, then we take an academic hit. Plus the fact that this kid is having a hard enough time qualifying.

High Risk, Low Reward situation to me.

I agree with you on this Dawson. Yeah, if the guy could qualify, come in here and never mess up then he could probably really help us. But, based on his recent issues, the odds are not really good that he will do that. Georgia pulled his scholarship offer for a reason.

If he comes in and plays to his potential for 3 years, it will be well worth the risk.

Tennessee's APR isn't in near as bad of shape as some believe. It isn't great but it's not that bad either. One guy getting the boot IF he can't act right is not going to cost Tennessee scholarships in the future.

Bring him in and let him play. Offer him an invited walk-on spot if nothing else.

I don't think he will have to grades to get in. But I am very confident that if does have the grades, he will be a Vol...

He won't be regardless of his grades. If they were only concerned about his grades, they'd sign and place him.

I disagree...

Pssh. Whatever. You'll be wrong this time just like all the others. Continue to mislead people though. I don't care.

I've spoken to several different people not named Kevin Scott that say the Vols are not pursuing him any longer.

Also Mr. Hubbs had this to say and that's the last mention of him:

at this point it appears less likely that Tennessee will do anything with linebacker Dexter Moody. Moody obviously wants to go to Tennessee and is hoping that he will get a chance, but right now the vibe is that he wonÂ’t get that chance. Remember there are academic concerns there as well as the issue in high school with the teacher.

I think your the one who should worry about misleading everyone. "My sources have told me that Marve to UT is a done deal." "Cam Newton will be a Vol." :ermm: I'm just letting everyone know what Moody has been told by the coaches...

I haven't even seen Kevin Scott's opinion on the matter. I have gotten the feeling from some others that if he makes the grades, he will be a Vol. And your "sources" make me laugh. We all know how spot on they have been lately...

Also Mr. Hubbs had this to say and that's the last mention of him:

I think Hubbs has been wrong on a number of things here lately and always seems to be a step behind Scout. His info has gone a little south since the exit of the Fulmer regime. There is a reason Scout is the one who breaks the news of all UT commits now-a-days, and a reason they seem to know about all these under the radar guys that UT is looking at...

I am seriously getting tired of you acting like a know-it-all. Other people can have opinions. There is no reason for you to argue constantly...

I never said any of that. In fact, you did via JB.

This is the very latest update from Brent Hubbs...

Also, James Bryant still says that he believes Marve will be a Vol. He has spoken to a couple of sources who have told him that Marve to UT is a done deal and another guy who says he thinks Marve will end up at Purdue...

I have no clue what is going on...

What "others"? The only person to ever have said that was Moody himself. But recruits NEVER lie! I forgot.

You aren't stating it as an opinion. You are leading people to believe that we are still pursuing Moody when we are not. Coaches say one thing - Moody another. Which one are you going to believe? I guess we have your answer.

I correct mistakes on here so that the majority of the people who come here for real news get the truth. If I see blatant BS such as this, I'm going to point it out. All indications by everyone close to the coaching staff is that they have moved on. Moody has absolutely zero chance on being a Vol.

And if you get so tired of it, stop repeating the same BS all over the site forcing me to come in and set the facts straight.

Sorry man. Actually, you did. The 2nd quote is from your "secret source" on Marve coming to UT. And anyone who is on Scout knows that JB NEVER said we were pursuing Newton. He kept repeating that we have shown no interest in him even though he was constantly questioned on it...

Cam Newton will be a Vol. If Marve comes, it's him + Newton. That will make it very difficult to commit for any prospective QB when Signing Day is so far away.

I just found out this is a done deal. Expect an announcement soon.

I'll just add him to the list of 5 or 6 people that you think are liars rather than believing you are wrong...

I don't see what's funny about it. I think the facts of everything I said tells the story...

I have not heard the coaches say anything on the matter and neither have you. All I know is that Moody said the coaches told him that he will have an offer if he passes the tests. You can say he is lying, that's fine by me. I'm just letting everyone know what the last thing we heard from him was...

Blatant BS? Oh, you mean kinda like what you said about Newton being offered even though the staff has not shown any interest in Cam. I see now...:eek:k:

There is an offer on the table and interest from both sides.

And if you get so tired of it, stop repeating the same BS all over the site forcing me to come in and set the facts straight.

You do not know the facts. You have no clue what the staff is doing. The sooner you realize that you are not a coach, or a guy who is on the "inside" of the UT program, the better off you will be. Just stick to photoshop and analyzing the QBs in your neighborhood football games...:good!:
