From what I read they decided to make this because nobody was really happy with how it ended, so they envisioned it as a "do over" for the final season. I think they only wanted to do one 10 episodes season/mini-series.

My guess is they'll make a new mini-series in about 3 years and maybe go with that model until MCH decides he no longer wants to play the character. Or....

they could either kill off Dexter in the finale or have him put in prison and Harrison takes over. Which honestly......I hope they don't go that route.

Show's creators say the finale will break the Internet.
still say there's a decent chance Harrison killed Hannah, if that's really Harrison

If it is H, which it probably is, I think it will be revealed that he killed Hannah. And I won't be surprised if he kills Angela. I don't know. I was thinking maybe Rudy (ICT) had a kid. Harrison was born in S3. That was in 2009. It's 2022. I don't think the time's right, but that might mean nothing.

Didnt watch all of the seasons of the first Dexter, but I have enjoyed this new season.

Meh, I would recommend just reading synopsis of them. He isn't missing much past Season 4 and I don't think you really need to have seen everything to figure out why we're here.

Granted I'm the guy who watches The Office Seasons 8 and 9 so I probably shouldn't be talking.

Disagree because Season 1 and 2 are some of the greatest character studies of all-time.

I would rank the 3-4 episodes before this finale as among the best, including the original series.

I figured I would be the only one who preferred the Dexter finale, but I agree with you.

Having watched from the beginning, have to say that season and ending was fantastic. It was worth the original finale going off the rails so we could get this.

I've watched Dexter from the get go. I didn't see any way it could end with Dexter getting out alive even after the season 8 finale. For me it was always a question of when, where and how. Obviously Harrison has his own dark passenger. I firmly believe we haven't seen the last of the Morgans. Michael C Hall might even appear as a ghost like his dad and sister.
