DG's takeaways after the Georgia game

The Vols don't have the players that can cover GA's TEs even if the D knows that a throw to a TE is coming. Combine that with GA's ability to use the TEs as bait then slip WRs and RBs deep past the coverage and Bennett's ability to run if needed, and you get a long day for the Vol's D.

The Vol offense didn't execute the few times they had a chance to. Didn't seem like they adjusted to the blitz either.

If you would've told me last summer that UT would be at this point in the season with only one loss, I wouldn't have believed it. We're headed in the right direction. Recruit recruit recruit!

Good observations on some points. We most definitely played an elite physical D with there best crowd in their history. Those dudes came up and tackled great. Our D short on NFL dudes battled for 4 qts and when GA went in Bully mode we didn't quit or give up much Secondary is what it is . In a game like this you need elite RB to help take pressure off QB and offense as a whole. Bottom line is in less than 2 years with a depleted roster, know Name coach wanted this job the pit we were in and Coach Heupel and Staff have us in week 9 No 1 and the talk of College Football tell me a better rebuild this fast. Be happy Vol Fans still so much to play for this year and recruiting is doing great 👍. In CHRIST Alone.

People that say Georgia could have scored 40 or 50 on us are wrong. If they could have scored 40 or 50 they would have . These coaches love beating the crap out of whoever they play. When they put up 40 to 50 on Miss State and Kentucky then what will the reason be. We shut them down the second half . Period.
