Dick Vitale Calling UT vs Bama on Saturday

Watched the 2nd half again this afternoon. Some great foreshadowing from Vitale at a little above the 10 min mark and then again right before the clutch free throws from Mashack with 30.3 seconds. Repeating both times that Mashack was a "winner".
He also talked passionately about what respect he has for Rick Barnes, one of his closest friends. I look at these things more objectively than most people and after re-watching the game twice, thought he was very complimentary of both teams in what was a heavyweight fight.

Some people always want to look for a reason to be slighted and hear what they want to hear.

Yeah, he and Barnes have a long time respect/love for each other

He didn't have a choice. Mayshack was making big play after big play whole second half.
Go compare Sears hitting that 3 as the shot clock ended and Mayshack hitting the game winner.
Dicky V was in the tank for Bama.
He was even having him a nice whine about them losing as the broadcast went off lol.

Yeah, he had a choice. Emphatically declaring Mashack a "winner" was because of his tenacity and hustle that led to big plays. He doesn't have a bias against UT at all. Never has in all the games he's done with us. Usually he's somewhat biased towards us. Cut whatever you do for energy by 77%

I think he still mad we put his Dookies out a couple years back. It's not just my opinion he and the crew were glazing and favoring Alabama, other people on this this site have mentioned the same. Seen it in social media, too. It is what it is.

I like Dicky V. and all, but coverage was slanted. Not the first time Dicky V has shown a little bias for a team, either. Like I said, it was other announcers, too.
Re-watch whole game, IMO it was rather obvious. You'll hear it if you're objective.

Say what you will, but I actually enjoyed having him for our game. It’s one of the few he will do all year, great for publicity and prestige, and it was a heck of a game in our favor. He’s a piece of CBB history…win in my book.

One call of his I particularly like was his “Williams, Williams…Williams” in the SEC tournament a few years back vs Kentucky. Prophetic! 7:41 mark ⬇️

I don't have any problem with him calling games. I enjoyed having here. He's a legend and glad he is still with us and calling games. Reminds me of old times. He did say some complimentary things about Tennessee, but that doesn't change the fact him and the whole announcing crew were doting over Bama all night.
I don't know what else to say, but it happened.
Especially in that 2nd half.

You think? Really? That he was concerned about us kicking Duke's ass in the NCAA? Geez. The guy was going through intense cancer therapy at the time. He didn't nor should he have given two fuuuks about our game that year. Alabama has a great team. Of course he's going to praise them too. Sears is a ****ing gamer. Acknowledging greatness on both sides from two top 5 teams IS top shelf objectivity.

How old are you? I almost apologize for asking because I'm not trying to embarrass you. Almost

I said think, as in maybe. I don't know what it was. Maybe he just really likes Bama/ their team this year.
It's really weird you're acting like I am the only one that has said this or something just like this after/during the game.
You think I have some kind of agenda or ax to grind against Dicky V. ? lol.....I don't.

Just back up and read in this thread. You'll see other people talking about it in just this thread alone. Not to mention in other ones on this site and (like I said) on social media.
I guess it's a conspiracy, tho uh?
We all just hate Dick V so much we just happen make up the same thing/have the same listening experience? Not likely, dude. They better explanation is for whatever reason the announcing crew were showing a disproportionate amount of adoration for Bama.

I don't give two shats what other people thought about his analysis during the game. I watched and listened. I watched and listened to the 2nd half again today. I know for a fact what I heard. If some hypersensitive and thin skinned fans want to characterize or frame it in a different manner, that's on their narcissism

They’re just looking for something to get mad about. Same people who will stare at someone in a bar for five minutes and when the person looks up, immediately bellow, “What are you looking at?”

So, if several other people on this site (and others) watched the announcers' commentary and reached the same conclusion, but it just so happens to differ from your opinion of the commentary, then the only logical conclusion for you is that all the people with a different opinion must be thin-skinned narcissists?

😄 My friend, y
ou just described Narcissistic Personality Disorder to the T.
Unfortunately for you, this description fits you, not me.
