I think that the review of the last touchdown, followed by taking a knee and the field goal, sucked a lot of emotion out of the stadium. When Dyer's run was called a touchdown, the place and the sidelines went nuts....everything after that was just a foregone conclusion.
I'm glad that a thread got started on this... I totally agree. I also didn't think the Oregon players seemed nearly as upset as I would have thought. It was very strange to watch

That is what I thought was the weird thing. It seems like our team was a lot more torn up over losing the Music City Bowl than Oregons was in losing the NC game. Maybe they didn't really think they could win and were just glad to keep it close.
They know most of the country feels their title in not legit (cam Newton).
The BCS wanted Auburn in this game. It had a much greater $$$ impact than is say...Boise State were playing.
You have to wonder if this might have had something to do with the NCAA (what a joke it has become) so quickly declaring Newton eligible after declaring him ineligible.
Reggie Bush has to be in the back of all their minds, and perhaps some guilt knowing they cheated to get their title.
