Did Barnes try to recruit Blue Cain

Vescovi started his freshman season. He didn't start the first game, but I believe he started every game afterwards. Not sure
I believe he did, obviously it was much easier to see the floor here back then but its definitely not unprecedented.

This couldn't be a more typical response. Thanks for the insight. Brilliant.
You finished your drivel with the slight at Barnes. It would be fine if it had been a legitimate criticism. Since you went that route....... the 2 bluest of bloods, Kentucky and UCLA, have both offered Barnes in the past 20 years. Kentucky threw everything including the kitchen sink at him. It's a lost cause bashing Barnes

Santi, JJJ heck even Mashack got some run in yr 1. OK might have gotten some run as well
In addition to those already named you can add Shembari Phillips, Jabari McGhee, Alexander, Lamonte, Bowden, Bone, ON, BHH, Julian Phillips, Tobe and ZZ all averaged over 10 min/game.

The 'ol "CRB doesn't play freshmen" narrative is one of the most laughable and tired mantras on VN.

McGhee was a Donnie Tyndall freshman and LT wasn’t a “true freshman”.

Good point with Bone. He was half of two true freshmen point guards with Kwe Parker.

That's right...I had successfully blocked out the DT year until your post (thanks a lot...lol)

McGhee’s auntie and cousin were posting in Vol Nation that year. Auntie said she’d keep posting even after JMc transferred out, but stopped a short while later. She was ragging on Deacon Barnes pretty good after Jabari quit.

I watched a couple of UGA games, in those games he looked good on offense but to me looked like a liability on defense. May be why he's not starting but he is a true freshman room to grow.

I don't see much that looks good about him right now. He's a low percentage shooter that struggles to make baskets and can't even shoot free throws very well. He'd probably have red-shirted here.

I’d take him as a grad transfer in a few years or maybe with 2 years to play. We’ve certainly had worse players transfer in.

And he took that personally.

A slight? A bit too sensative? Does Barnes not emphasize defense over everything else? Wish he'd emphasize offense as much. We'd be in buisness.
