did dooley?

Did dooley have any type of speech or anything after being fired to say thanks for the oppurtunity, had a good time, etc. Like phillip fulmer did? I thought most coaches have speeches after they leave a college, I may be wrong I was just just wondering.

He had a players meeting announcing he was fired. He said thanks for the opportunity, and he said how much he enjoyed his time here. I hate him as a coach, but not as a man. He tried, he failed, but he always cared. I wish him the best in life.

Yea, there is a ton coming out about how much a class act he actually was.

1) telling brick masons at Neyland how to do their jobs
2) Telling light bulb salesmen to "have their act together when he comes back."
3) failing to keep touch with tri-state area high schools.
4) numerous vendors speaking about how much of a jerk Dooley is.

We can go on and on and on...

Dooley isn't this great and wonderful person that he was made out to be. He single-handedly isolated the program from so many great relationships (mostly TN/GA/Bama high schools)

Never mind that assistants left CDD in groves..

He may not have broke the rules of the NCAA but he didn't do anything positive for UT... Save for CP...that was a home run..

Yes I am a recovering Doolaider....funny what reality does to perception,

see now this is juicy gossip. I wanna hear more about how power hungry he was, and his douchey undertones.

Glad to see our Vols go 4-27 to prove you right?? Got somethin' for ya...:finger3: and since I have two hands, here's another :finger3:

There is not a coach on earth that could have won 28 months ago with the cluster**** left by FULMER and Wonderboy .

Wrong, JB. $100,000 car, rest of cash in trunk. Don't blame him a bit. Lot's of deserving sonsofb!tches on here. Some very classy posters too. I guess everyone can decide which side of of the fence they are on.

Pure class. Plenty of coaches could have done better than Dooley.

Anyone happy that my beloved Vols lose to prove a point, and in the same sentence proclaim themselves a Vol fan, gets my dander up. I am not the least bit conflicted on where I stand concerning my Vols. Perhaps the poster gloating about our 4-27 record should reevaluate his devotion to our program.

He actually released a very professional statement...

“I am sorry we could not generate enough wins to create hope for a brighter future,” said Dooley. “Although progress was not reflected in our record, I am proud of the strides we made to strengthen the foundation for future success in all areas of the program.

“During the last 34 months, I’ve given my all for Tennessee, and our family appreciates all this University and the Knoxville community has given us.”

Man...there's a BUNCH of in-breds on here...smh

This is an understatement on the people who continually blast DD after he is gone. They believe it makes them look intelligent....instead it makes them look small. The past is past, let's get on with the future.

CDD haters are just miserable people and hate anything they can find to hate on.

He tried, he failed, he was fired, he's gone so grow up and MOVE ON!!!

You ned to STOP bashing and belittling our players too.

Things around here would be alot better if people would treat other people on here the way they want to be treated too.

No wonder we can hardly ever get a 4 star recruit when they come on here and see all the constant BS being tossed around nonstop.

VFL...GBO!!!

Mostly Lane. I think had we made a better hire in 2008, the program would be in much better shape now. People like to say that Fulmer left it in shambles, but I think with the right OC, 2009 could have been just as good or better than Lane with even Fulmer still the coach. We will never know. Need to make a good hire NOW! I trust Hart way more than I ever trusted Hamilton. What a disaster that guy was.

im not glad Tennessee went 4-27 in the SEC to prove a point, just simply pointing out that I was correct in assuming CDD wasnt the guy.

And again I know I did not word that statement well, but UT going 4-27 to prove a point did not make me glad, I'm glad I was right 28 months ago in assuming Dooley was a s*** hire, all the Dooleyaid lovers just wanna throw the Fulmerites in the fire for being right. Pathetic.

There was a comment from him in the press release announcing his firing but he didn't take questions.

Nice AVI I remember that pic so well on the cover of Sports Illustrated...the one and only Albert Dorsey laying the wood on a bama player.
