Help us to prove to recruits that we are still an attractive landing place.

Yes, we still missed the final four...
However we are in a heck of a lot better situation than the regular season.

We beat a top 8 team on their own floor and then arguably a top 10 team handily.

Our facilities are still top notch.

I'm not going to wade into the coaching situation

But any sincere opinions on if we have improved our stock going into the offseason

I think had we got to the Final 4 then it would but the lack of adjustments and poor coaching the second half will only hurt her when it comes to the AAU coaches helping their players/parents make decisions

The coaching situation is the only issue worth discussing. Until it is resolved, it's unlikely recruits will be impressed by anything else. Losing in great facilities still sucks.

I don't think any type of coaching would of stopped Syracuse today. They were hitting ridiculous shots. When the young lady hit that 3 over Russell, I knew it was about to be one of those nights.

I think Holly's misuse of key players will hurt with the coaches on the AAU scene, lets face it high school basketball is dead now and UCONN runs the AAU ranks.

The LVs looked very bad today-- not the loss, but the way they played and the way the coaches were ineffective in making adjustments and motivating the team. UT is now losing in-state recruits to competitive programs. When Crystal Dangerfield committed to UConn over UT, she said that she liked the LVs and had thought she would play for UT, but she hated to lose and UConn knew how to win, so she had to do what was best for her. Ouch.

Tennessee was down 63-59 early in the 4th quarter. Syracuse proceeds to score 8 points in the next minute. No time out called. They continue their tear, and in a matter of five minutes stretch a 4 point lead to a 21 point lead. No time out was called. That is just flat out bad coaching. Holly called 1 timeout the entire game and it was midway through the 2nd quarter. Tennessee stopped looking for their post players after the post play is what allowed them to get to the Elite 8. Or how about not playing zone and provide a lot of perimeter pressure when Syrcause is shooting 50% from 3 and hits 14 on the day.

I think Syracused was easily the better team today and even if Holly made some adjustments and called timeouts, it may not have mattered. But the fact is, there were a LOT of things Holly could have done to make this a more competitive game.

I am hoping that players are saying plenty of playing time at Tennessee. We need some players that can play basketball and not just athletes.

When the coach stands on the sidelines, watching the other team score at will, and just throws up her hands.
It's time to go.

This x1000 UConn came in the Lady Vols backyard and took a recruit....Pat never would have allowed that to happen...Holly needs an entire new staff...Hopefully Hart asks her to bring in a new staff in her end of the year evaluation

I do not think it will help. Too many mistakes today. If we made it to the final 4 that might have helped. AAU coaches are not sending players our way.

I am truly worried about next year. I hope we do not have transfers, but I think they are coming!

We need to get a few recruits but who knows if that will happen.

We need some new blood and good coaching!

Holly has said again and again in interviews that she doesn't know what to do. She says she doesn't know how to fix the problem, and if she did, she would. When you admit to the whole world on camera that you don't know how to do the job you're paid seven figures to do, not many employers would allow you to keep it.

You can't fully say it is the staff though, as we have seen with Holly stubborness that she just might not be listening to what they have to say. If I am replacing anyone it would be Dean but truthfully I don't think Holly has the guts to let any of them go. Law (and not the Head Coach) decided to take Diamond out to dinner to tell her just play and stop making it a mental game. It was also Law who took Te'a into the gym when she was struggling and worked with her. Coach Elzy has done the same with Nared and Dunbar, Russell has seem to not get better and the beast has declined since her first season so if anyone needs to move on it should be him. Replace him with an offensive minded coach (hopefully one who can also coach post players)

Maybe there are some out there that feel they could be the one to turn it around. It worked in football.

No it will take a lot more than one game to change the narrative in the recruiting world right now. In fact, despite the somewhat surprising and refreshing run we've made the Syracuse game probably undid any good because it reinforces many of the things being used against us right now.

Guard play wins titles and no high profile guards want to spend their college career feeding the ball to posts. They want to light it up and make it rain.

We will not be a serious contender again until we get a new staff--a new coach who is both dynamic and brass tacks. Next year we lose Graves and have no one to replace her. I have no idea why we didn't play more zone today when that is by far our best defense, as was shown in the previous two games. Warlick not only has been over her head as head coach, but she has bad mojo too, with all the injuries/concussions. We are going south with her, which should not be surprising since she was a poor choice to begin with. And, yea, when UConn comes into our state and takes a top 5 player, then you know you've got problems.

That's BS. You think Geno wouldn't have made any adjustments or any other top 10 coach? The only thing ridiculous was that there was no defender on Butler all the time. Shooters are going to make shots but you have to keep them off the 3-point line and make them work for their shots, stay in their face, make them uncomfortable. Did you see that today? Er, no!

Holly will be here for the next couple of years. May as well get used to it. Meanwhile the lady Vol brand will become a thing of the past. This will make it that much more difficult to hire a quality replacement meaning we'll have to go the up and comer route. Sadly we're seeing what Pat built erode to a shadow of its former self.
