Did you ENJOY the Disappointment in Greg McElroy's Voice?

Ever since he mouthed off on Tony V. I've lost ALL respect! (Yeah...I know he supposedly "apologized", but I DON'T CARE!)

For those of us not fortunate enough to be at the Game...i ENJOYED his Crimson Tears!!!

I don’t know whose dumb idea it was to have him in the booth in the first place.
No reason for a player or coach of a participating rival team to be on that call. They’ve done it with him, Stinchcomb, and Pollock and the guy from Vanderbilt.
It does not provide objective insight and they could easily have somebody else in that booth.
That said, I muted the TV as always, so I didn’t hear him, but I hope he’s as miserable today as he apparently was at the end of the game.

Imo….he‘s a decent announcer when simply narrating a play. He‘s shockingly bad when he inserts his opinion or tries to explain something, especially for a former player.

Yeah he can over the top for sure. What’s strange is that Sean is normally pretty good. Not one of his better calls yesterday or maybe I was a little too hammered.

Totally agree. My wife was actually surprised when I told her McElroy was a Bama QB because of how fairly he called the game, and McDonough is by far the best PBP guy on ABC/ESPN.

McElroy was channeling his inner Gary Danielson last night. I get it, it has to be hard to be objective when your heart is still on the field. But it was obvious an insufferable.
